Well, I'm sorry that I didn't need a phone earlier than that, I guess. As if that was somehow an issue, the W205 may not be "that old" but it didn't have any modern day features, so I don't see it as that different either.

The low-end hardware features here, are the battery, the charging speeds, and the ultrawide camera. The display and the chipset aren't by any means, but they are also nothing special and can be had for a lot less money, both from other brands and from Samsung themselves, the S25+ is there.

"..while you're at it try dig up an old feature phone so you can see what bad specs really look like."

Maybe it's not a good look trying to defent a huge company and their $1000+ phone by comparing it to old feature phones, even I wouldn't go that far.

You have a weird idea of what Samsung defenders are bit calling this phones hardware low end is a bit of an exaggeration.

Samsung specs suck for their prices but I've also seen worse but they aren't really improving much either so just stick with whatever you want.

You got any more nonsense to defend an extremely stagnant company that's still stuck with low-end hardware features on their most expensive phones?

notafanboy, 18 Jun 2025Imagine twerqing this hard for a company that's obviou... moreDifferent tiers of phones exist for people who for whatever reason need top performance for various use cases, it's also worth noting that flagships last longer (battery issues aside) due to their chipset having an easier time keeping up with updates which slower phones.

You make a lot of incorrect assumptions about me so let me say this: having used multiple phones if varying brands ar different price points I usually know what to expect when buying a phone so no I am not "coping" nor do I "twerq" for samsung since its fairly obvious they charge ludicrous prices for their specs.

PS: don't call people "dear" that's just weird, also while you're at it try dig up an old feature phone so you can see what bad specs really look like.

Obession with fast charging lol good one, dear. What's next? Obsession with flagship-grade chipsets? You are coping. The tech is there. Some OEMs just refuse to use it so they can keep selling you inferior products, as long as people will tolerate it.
If all OEMs had the same mentality as you, then flagship, top-of-the-line phones wouldn't even exist, because after all, entry-level phones kinda get the job done right? Who needs a powerful chipset on a phone? Just get a PC. Who needs good cameras on a phone? Just buy a DSLR camera. See how flawed your logic is yet?

DarlingYext, 18 Jun 2025I've only used the original chargers for all my phones... moreIs 25w charging for this price acceptable? No but for 99.99 percent of people in western countries (UK, America, Australia etc) charging speed isn't really a big deal since most people don't care about waiting 1-3 hours for a full charge since charging speed and by extension smartphones are very minor concern in most people's lives.

I don't know how old you are but it's clear you never used any feature phone or any phone that existed before smartphones since they had 700-1500mah batteries and 5w or less charging hence the obsession with charging speed.

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2025I've been slow charging my devices every night without... moreI've only used the original chargers for all my phones that came in the box with them, and no I wasn't charging them under anything. I'm still only using the original chargers that came with my phones, but now that they are fast chargers it's much more convenient yet has no negative effects on battery life, or any other issues.

Oh, and I'm not stuck to my phone, but I'm also not stuck in the past where 25W charging was acceptable for over $1000.

DarlingYext, 18 Jun 2025Nonsense, I've been using using fast charging for year... moreI've been slow charging my devices every night without "destroying" my battery since 2008 with little to no impact on battery lifespan. The reason why your batteries were destroyed from overnight charging is likely due to you charging with your phone under your pillow or using some poor quality charger.

This obsession with fast charging is ridiculous. Maybe you should unglue your face from your phone instead of fussing over charging speeds and do something that involves socialising.

No more slow charging, fast charging is the way and fast charging is the future. Most phones with 45W or below charging speeds can have less charge cycles than phones with way faster charging, wonder why. Google has to reduce their phones' battery capacity after 400 cycles, and their devices don't even charge fast, that's a joke.

DarlingYext, 17 Jun 2025Of course people at Samsung would stay that, but no thanks ... moreAnd they're not wrong because short partial charges (top ups if you will) reduce the number of charge cycles due to a lower depth of discharge. Furthermore fast charging usually involves elevated temperature and voltage both of which place additional stress on lithium batteries, xiaomi seems to be doing a decent job with managing temperature with fast charging though.

In my opinion fast charging should only be used in emergencies or for quick top ups since slower charging speeds tend to be safer and people aren't going to die if they don't have their face glued to their phone for an hour or two.

                        12:06h of usage from 3900mAh. That's 322mAh per hour.

Gsmarena should have a chart of the most efficient (modern) phones out there. This would beat most of them.

DarlingYext, 17 Jun 2025Of course people at Samsung would stay that, but no thanks ... moreCharging your phone at high speed is the worst...it heats up the battery and shortens its life span. Do some research on the internet and you will understand that several slow charges is the best way to keep the battery healthy.

Battery technology has evolved a lot since the 2000's.
