People from those places, rather young, low-income people from those two countries! They've infested this place with their comments. Let everyone buy whatever they want with their money. Obviously, if Chinese brands don't invest in marketing outside of China, how will they become known? I think Vivo and Xiaomi are the only ones who invest in their phones outside of China. Besides, they take the risk of launching their high-end premium ranges.
globally, but here I see some really strange comments about Xiaomi, as if it were a newbie brand! I only remember that in the ranking of best-selling phones, Xiaomi is in third place, very close to Apple.

I am not going to buy a new Samsung phone until they offer a five-year warranty that includes screen. I’ve had reliability issues with my previous newer Samsung Note phones, and their resale value low, if they have signal or other issues. In contrast, my ancient Samsung Note 4 is still working!
The screens are fragile and crack easily. Unfortunately, screen protector manufacturers struggle to make effective protectors. Tempered glass works well for flat screens, it's saved my older Note 4 phones more than once, but it's nearly impossible to find good tempered glass for curved screens.
So, no Samsung, I won’t be buying your new phones until you properly address these issues. What is the point of making phones thinner and thinner, if you need a thicker phone case from accidents?

becaus... moreActually like "SweeetY" said their reputation is more due to the fact they've established a long history of making high quality products (how often do you see an Xiaomi microwave or fridge for example?).
Sure their phones have inferior specs but the fact that they're still popular after 15+ years proves they're obviously doing something right especially when you compare them with other well known brands in the android phone space (motorola, Sony, htc etc)

And their phones have monthly software updates...and it is easy to find accessories too. Good luck fixing your Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T Pro+ from only 2 years ago, or finding a case in the market or mall near you.

s... moreIt's not about being better It's about reputation and trust which is what average users care about when choosing a product.
Xiaomi does have better hardware but is barely known outside of India and China which is why they're used less in other parts of the world.
Your average user doesn't care if a phone has better specs or sone silly magic ui, what they care about is brand trust. Most of the people who switch to xiaomi are indians and middle easterners and they do so because in those developing countries people are more concious of specs.

when we grab a chinese device you may feel uncomfortable.
however the product itself is great or amazing.
but when we grab non chinese device like samsung, sony or... we strangly feel comfortable with that.

Love this Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge!! I have been waiting fro such thin and lightweight phone and also powerful for many years.
Thanks to Samsung's Design and Engineering Team for making such an amazing phone!!!!
As I don't spend more than 2 hours a day looking at phone and wasting time and I wanted a slim phone with good camera and processor, This is a perfect phone for me!!!

however xiaomi made and develope hyper os that seems much better than other devices.
what they have is not only beautiful ui as i said.
if samsung has less animations with issues it means one ui is weak compared to some chinese ui that run and work much stronger while they use more animations with less issues.

Beautiful UI won't attract average users, what attracts average users is reputation which is something Samsung has developed for many many years before they even made smartphones. Try asking your average American, Australian etc if they've ever heard of Xiaomi before and most of the time the answer will be no.
You can't expect your average user to trust chinese phone brand when their reputation is virtually non existent outside of China and India.

this is a fact that samsung lost games to chinese brands.

ui is not that good.
samsung used less animation in ui to survive from lag, bug and... while chinese brand use powerfull ui that has beautiful animations with less lag,bug and...
chinese brands are using high graphic engine in software.
from other side i saw chinese brand that get less update are working great for years while it seems samsung updates are not really helpfull.
as samsung has more lag, bug... it needs more times to give updates to fix software issues.
chinese brands really dont need more updates if it works fine.
oppo find x8 ultra is another good example. who is winner?
