Samsung Galaxy S26 series to be lighter and thinner than predecessors
Last week, we saw a report for the Galaxy S26’s dimensions, which suggests the base model will come in at 149.5 x 71.6 x 7.24 mm. A more recent post from tipster UniversIce suggests that the device will actually be thinner, coming in at 6.9mm, which would make it 0.3mm thinner than its predecessor. The base S26 is also expected to weigh 164 grams, which is 2 grams more than the S25.
The post also includes the values for the S26 Plus and Ultra models alongside comparisons to their iPhone 17 series equivalents. The S26 Plus/Pro model will measure 7.3mm thick and weigh 191 grams, which are nearly identical numbers to the Galaxy S25+, which made its debut back in January. Both the S26 and S26+/Pro will be 13 grams lighter and over 1mm thinner than their iPhone 17 series counterparts.
The S26 Ultra is expected to come in at 7.9mm thick and weigh 214 grams, which makes the upcoming top-tier flagship 0.3mm thinner than the S25 Ultra and 4 grams lighter. The difference is even more staggering when comparing to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, where the Galaxy would be 17 grams lighter and 0.85mm thinner.
