Latest report sheds light on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's telephoto camera

Sagar, 05 July 2025

A few days ago, we heard that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary camera. Now, a new report by the same source, GalaxyClub, sheds light on the Galaxy S26 Ultra's telephoto unit.

The Dutch publication claims that one of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's telephoto cameras will have a 50MP resolution. It will be a periscope telephoto unit offering 5x optical zoom. Well, that's the same camera Samsung used in last year's Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The second telephoto camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra had a 10MP resolution and 3x optical zoom; however, rumors suggested that the S26 Ultra's second telephoto camera would use a 200MP sensor. We'll have to wait for multiple reliable sources to corroborate that to be sure.

Circling back to the Galaxy S26 Ultra's primary camera, some rumors claimed it would have a variable aperture. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to arrive in January 2026, so we'll hopefully have more clarity about the Ultra model's cameras in the coming months.

Yes! My d-slr maxed out at 26mp, and will always take better pictures, not snapshots. ;) Plus, (I'd rather not do it $$) one of my lenses could be considered a lethal weapon LOL

Large 200MP sensor for 3x telephoto + 50MP 6x or even 10x would be such a great combo...

I miss the 10x zoom I had on my S23 Ultra. I have a Xiaomi 15 Ultra now and the 4.3x is very good but it falls apart after double zoom
