Samsung Galaxy S4 Active stars in short video, still not official
True to its name, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active just can't sit still under wraps and has leaked yet again. This time it's on video sent to Mobile Tech Review. The video doesn’t show much, but it does show the About screen.
The rugged smartphone bears the same I9295 model number as before, but according to the tipster it's powered by a dual-core Snapdragon Plus chipset. The comment under the video says dual-core Snapdragon Pro.
This doesn’t match the previous leak where AnTuTu's System info screen claimed quad-core CPU clocked at 1.9GHz plus Adreno 320 GPU, which could only be a Snapdragon 600 chipset.
There might be multiple models, but they should have different model numbers. Previously we heard of the Samsung I537 Galaxy S4 Active for AT&T, which has a Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset according to GFXBench.
A roadmap that leaked earlier this month claims the S4 Active will launch in mid-July alongside the other S4 variant the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, so we'll soon find out.
