AnonD-543953, 11 Jun 2016I connected my S5 INS to Kies and it showed an uodate size ... moreIf you update through kies it will download whole rom image not OTA that's why 1.3GB size & it also wipe data. And the one you will get through ota is only partial rom image which will not erase data.
So choice is yours.
But I'll recommend you to clean install or factory reset

Updated my Samsung galaxy S5 Exynos octa core SM-G900H INS version of India to Marshmallow 6.0.1 via Samsung smart switch because OTA update not available yet.

I connected my S5 INS to Kies and it showed an uodate size of 1384 mb..bt INU mode uodate was oly 815 mb I believ..shall I update through Kies Or shall I wait for the OTA update??guys plz suggest me something

Rajesh , 03 Jun 2016Hate you Samsung, still not getting marshmallow g900h (ins)... moreDude if your tired of waiting for MM on SM-G900H go to sammobile and download the rom for the phone model there, then use odin to manually install MM on S5. Google the steps its even on youtube if you follow it you cant go wrong and it works 100%.

i have not recieved mm update for my 900h model. samsung is neglecting indian users. next time no samsung.

I have purchased almost 10 devices of samsung. Now i fed up with this galaxy s5 ins update, i switched to apple. I am very much satisfied. None of the galaxy device proved woth it money for me. No samsung from now.

I have SGS5 (G900H) .....INS version. I am also waiting for Marshmallow update. I am from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. I heard that Marshmallow update is available for INU models only. Those who don't the difference between INU & INS, then let me clear it out for those.
INU Model- Made outside India but marketed in India.
INS Model- Made in India & marketed in India only.
So, according to priority the INU models will get update earlier than INS models.
Samsung is the biggest smartphone supplier in India but when it comes to update their models, India comes last. Samsung always releases its updates to Korea first and after providing updates to all over the World, they release updates for India & that too in INU...INS.....blah....bla.....blah........& if the same continues then Samsung will gradually loose it's market in India which is one of the biggest market for Samsung. Samsung must take a note on this before releasing new smartphones because customers are already migrating to other brands which are cheaper and also providing regular updates to the customers who valued them.
SGS5 will get update when Nexus devices will get Android 7(N).......So my dear SGS5 users please hang on, because that's all we can do but I am migrating to other. Ha....Ha....Ha...

It's been a while since I have heard from you. I trust you have been reading my posts. I have heard it time and time again about how Jellybean 4.3 messed up the Galaxy S3. Based on the reviews I have seen about the S5 with Marshmallow, everything or at least most things seems to be better. I really like Lollipop with it's material design. I hope I will be just as impressed with Marshmallow. I'm looking forward to your Marshmallow review, as well as anyone else here who updates to Marshmallow and willing to give us their feedback.
