Actually the mali is more powerful when handling low end games but less powerful for high end games due to different triangle calculation abilities. The adreno 330 will run big and high end games at a higher framerate but low end games won't be as smooth as mali t628 as it has fill rate advantages.

The difference is not much Anyways and both are quite fast and can handle any game smoothly.

AnonD-260677, 12 May 2014wifi mimo just 4 snapdragon. So that means you don't own an s5 octa as you didn't answer to the questions. And here is no user that's replying. That's great. No problems. That means I'll have to buy and see.

And can you give a proof that exynos doesn't have 2×2 mimo. I don't see any reason not to have it. I even saw a teardown showing broadcomm mimo modem. So can you confirm it.

Can I ask you a few questions.

                      0. Do you own g900h?

                      1. In which country do you live?

                      2. How is the battery life?

                      3. Can you elaborate the heating. Means do you use any sort of cover? What's your extensive use? How much time it takes to cool down?

                      4. Does it have 2X2 mimo wifi? Some proof please if you can?

                      5. This is optional: are you a girl? As your name suggests and I rarely see girls on tech forums. Don't get angry due to this question and I am sorry if this hurts your sentiments.

it heats up but not badly. depends on users how long they run their device for havy tasks. heats up when 8cores run together and starts consumes more battery. but exynos is good. its fast as u say. this is right.

AnonD-260677, 11 May 2014actualy exynos cpu & gpu is not slower. many of andriod... moreIts not a waste. Exynos s5 is faster people say. I have even seen comparison video and the exynos seemed faster.

And the mali is weaker due to its performance per clock being much lesser than adreno 330. Just as the case between cortex a15 and krait 400.

I don't care much about power. I care about the general usage of exynos s5.

DOES IT HEAT UP BADLY? DO YOU OWN IT? How does it perform in general scenario?

I don't care much about power as both are really powerful. The mali is less powerful under lower triangle load which is the case with general games but as technology advances, games with higher triangle leads and more ALU calculations will come and adreno will perform better then. The same is the case with benchmarks. In benchmarks, triangle load is higher and hence adreno performs better.

I don't want a discussion on which is powerful as exynos is faster in day to day use and both can handle any game.

I care about if exynos heats up or not and dies it give any problems.

See, wolfson DAC is very important for me as it gives a much better sound compared to qualcomm dac. So I prefer exynos. But if it heats up badly then I will have to order snapdragon version.

shubham yadav, 11 May 2014Well the price is 43k now. actualy exynos cpu & gpu is not slower. many of andriod apps are optemized for snapdragon and adreno so that exynos and mali may be bottleneck for these. but mali-t628 can go upto 930 mhz where adreno can go upto 400 or 500 mhz only. as I say before every apps are optimized 4 snapdragon; not for exynos. but exynos clockrate is more powerfull than snapdragon (cortex a15 vs krait 400). but I think this is waste. like a bugati vairon on the indian road.......such a wast of horse power. but otherwise..........snapdragon is best for all.

AnonD-260677, 10 May 2014but snapdragon is stable. becoz it is quad core. so; for b... moreWell the price is 43k now.

The note 3 was a different story. The cpu and gpu both of exynos were weaker than snapdragon. The ram usage was more, phone was slower on exynos. Plus exynos note 3 didn't have HMP or 4k video recording. So it was a different story.

S5 is a totally different case. I don't think I'll need 4g or 4g will spread in India in next 2 to 3 years. Even 3g penetration is low. Further prices will be insane. So I don't care about 4g. Only I care about is the heating issue and stability. If you own it, please throw some light on it.

I can't get a hands on exynos version as even the store pieces are snapdragon which are on show but they sell exynos. So I need an experienced person who can help me.

becoz it is quad core. so; for business profit they give exynos including india. though they r improving. but their is stil heating problem. as a octa core when all 8 cores get strted it heats up and eats baterry. otherwise the phn is very good but 51K 4 a 3g phn....thats weird.
I allways wanted the snapdragon version of note 3 but i cant get it.

                                    1. More powerful cpu. The HMP 5422 is around 20% more powerful than snapdragon 801.

                                    2. Faster RAM. Exynos s5 has 933 mhz ram over 800 mhz of snapdragon version.

                                    3. Much better DAC. Exynos s5 has wolfson DAC which will provide a much better sound output over snapdragon s5 which has qualcomm DAC.

                                    4. Full UHS I speed support.: The exynos s5 supports full class 10 ultra sd card speeds upto 70 MB/S which qualcomm doesn't.

                                    5. More internal memory. It has 11.5 GB free whereas snapdragon version has 10 GB free.

                                    6. Better ram management: exynos s5 has around 300 mb more free ram over snapdragon s5.

                                    Advantages of snapdragon version:

                                    1. LTE support. If 4g spreads very fast in India in next 1 to 2 years it may be very useful.

                                    2. Theoritically more battery life. I can't say for sure but the snapdragon 801 should offer better battery life.

                                    3. Better gpu: adreno 330 is around 20% more powerful than mali t628.

                                    4. Better dev support( only for advanced users).

So these are the facts I know. I need to know from an actual user his views on how exynos s5 performs in real life. Does it heat up? And other related questions.

Hope you found my post informational.

Hi g900h owners. I want to ask that how is your experience with the phone. I have a real hard time choosing between the exynos s5, snapdragon s5 and htc one m8. I love in India where exynos version is available. But if necessary I can order the snapdragon version if necessary.
