If yes, then that might be the problem or if you did not then try to open the hidden menu by simply dialing *#0011# and you will see a button (in korea lang description) below the Service Mode info, click on it and you will be directed to another screen titled "Network Settings/1. Network..", here you will notice there are varieties of network bands in a list form, now click on 'Automatic' and see if that works.

Shelly, 02 Nov 2014Hi has anyone bought one and found it works in Australia?
... moreTelstra mobile frequency bands according to an online source:
2G bands
- 900MHz
- 1800MHz
3G bands
- 850MHz (B5)
- 2100MHz (B1)
4G bands
- 2100MHz (B1)
- 1800MHz (B3)
- 900MHz (B8)
- 700MHz (B28)
- 2600Mhz (B7) to follow in 2016
In conclusion, it should work on Telstra my friend :) and according to the specification wall, you'll see that most of the phones frequency falls inline with telstra frequency bands. If you want to purchase the phone make sure you buy the unlocked version.
