PROTIP: Turn off power saving mode if you want the camera to launch faster.
Sadly, Samsung did not exempt the camera from power saving mode. I assumed they were smart enough to do it but they didn't.

I am still running it as my daily driver. The battery is pretty useless at this point - as to be expected - and that's my only gripe. For everything else it's great. The camera is fast and excellent. When I moved to this phone I thought it was huge. I since picked up an S10+ and the form factor is too limiting for me to use it as an actual phone - it's just too large. So the S7 keeps on going. It will have to well and truly die, or I get a good offer on a Pixel 8a or something to migrate away from it.

still using this phone today . but i would not recommend that unless you only use it for chatting or playing 3 games that have less then 5 gb of space because damn . i can only use 24 gb out of 32gb and half of that is used by pictures . but the phone works perfectly well if you dont count the battery life . its so old and has been used since releas by me and th battery is not that good anymore . but it can play games like war robots without probolem wich i find amazing the camera and the display is also really good .

                Still a fine phone.
Began to be restricted by APPs because of the highest Android vercion.
5G in USA and 3G rolling down affected it's connectivity: LTE apparently is not the same in all of this model: some are still fine, some have intermitting problems, some can't connect at all.

Rest of the world is still fine with these.
Using them for trips to insert local SIM
                Very good compact thingy.
Water proof (for a short time...)

I wouldn't recommend the phone nowadays, unless physical buttons phones are your thing, in which case this is a go-to.

Had one for 2 years between 2018 and 2020 and as a backup phone until 2022. Battery life on this thing was something to behold, it would last forever at 1 percent. Smashed the back panel early on but phone continued to work fine. Also my phone with physical buttons.

Anonymous, 11 Mar 2024For some reason this thing works faster than my current xiaomi 14faster battery draining? lol

This is one of the best Samsung Phones ever made, it really looks sleek and cool. The camera is pretty awesome. I threw it into deep pools and it still works (and filmed)

The Galaxy S7 can run Android 14 and the performance is still somewhat smooth

The Galaxy S7 I think is one of the best Samsung phones ever made. (And kinda the iPhone 7 except the headphone jack lol)

I miss the physical home button.

It is easier to launch the camera while the smartphone is in the pocket by double-pressing the physical home button than by double-pressing the power button.

When the phone is in the pocket, a physical home button like the S6 and S7 have is easier to reach with the thumb, where as the power button is far deeper in the pocket.

In a quickly passing moment, a physical home button allows the camera to be launched before it is pulled out of the pocket.
