I hope they make this phone soon. I also wish that they give the hands free mode and a sd card slot again like s4 mini GT 19195. And if there is more battery life it will be perfect.

Hope it will come soon. Cant wait. Ill be the first to get one. I still have the s4 mini. Im waintig for too long a mini version of the flagship. The thing is samsung gave us the A series 2016. In this case the A3 match the mini version of the s7, even if the specs are way appart. Come on samsung we need the mini version. I give my self a try and went to ckeck out the A5. It is just too big. Then on the side was the A3. For me it is perfect on terms of dimmensions but not the best hardware. Even being a 4.7 display it needs time to adapt. It is already a big step from 4.3 to 4.7", so almost impossible to go for a 5.2" display. I think they will anounce soon. Fingers crossed.

I hope that Samsung has made this device allready,because I love small phones,I have now LG Magna and it's uncomfortable for me and my small hands.It's my opinion that Samsung gives me all I want from one device...Samsung,make the S7 Mini,pls!

I too have had an S4 mini and was waiting for the S6 mini to come out when my two year contract expired. I don't like the big phones on offer and the S4 mini has been a good phone for me. I do like Samsung but they really need to pull their finger out and listen to the customers. I'm anticipating the S7 mini so I'll hang on until my S4 mini gives up the ghost. When it does I'll look elsewhere if a decent Samsung small phone hasn't turned up.

I too am waiting for the S7 mini but am getting tired since I was waiting for a S6 mini that never happened. I have a S4 mini and LOVE it but it's acting up and afraid it my die. I hate to go to Apple but if Samsung takes too long, I'll have no choice. I wish they would either let us know whether it's in the works or not. Regardless whether this is a niche market, I'm sure it still makes money so why not satisfy everyone's needs. Samsung, you're going to lose followers if you ignore our wants.

I hope this phone happens because:
-Small phone because there arent any others from a decent (sorry) company around. Event HTC made a "half tablet size" phone.
-Small phone for my small hands
-Small phone that I can carry in my purse instead of a handbag.
-Small phone because I watch movies/TV on my TV/laptop in the comfort and quiet of my home, not on my phone.
-Small phone so I can navigate it with one hand instead of 2.
-Long lasting battery because none of the new flashy smart features and apps matter anything if they eat up all the battery.
-Lots of memory so I dont have to choose between apps to have installed.

O yes please samsung make this phone fast. And please ad again an sd card slot and the drive mode like s4 mini.P/S S4 mini was the best in all samsung series small and reliable to put in your pocket. We dont need big dishes.

UPDATE: Although this doesn't prove or disprove anything... I received a call this morning from Verizon, said they were with the "Verizon Promotional Loyalty" department. They wanted to discuss my current plan and outlined how they could save me money by making some changes to my current plan. Said no contract to sign and no new phone required... just a reduction in my monthly bill. I told the representative I'd rather hold off on making any changes right now because I was getting ready to get a new phone. Told her I was looking for a small smartphone and was considering the Apple SE but was waiting for Samsung to announce the "rumored" S7 Mini next month. She said has been a lot of buzz about the S7 Mini and understood my desire to wait. She said she would put me on her calendar and would call me back towards the end of June to discuss phones and contracts. Granted.... this does not mean the S7 Mini is a sure bet.
However... although she didn't say whether there was any truth to a S7 Mini... last fall I got a similar call from Verizon looking for me to upgrade. At that time, I said I was waiting for the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. The Verizon representative immediately replied, at one time Verizon was seriously considering adding the Sony Xperia Z4 to its lineup but cancelled those plans and to acknowledge that the Z5 Compact was never going to happen. Anyway... my point is... although a Verizon rep immediately shot down my desire to wait for the Sony Z5Compact... (which by the way never happened)... yesterdays rep never discouraged my decision to wait for the S7 Mini but instead scheduled a callback. (Maybe I'm reading to much into it... i.e. wishful thinking)

I believe there will be enough of A5 (2016 version, of course) specs inside of A3 sized S7 styled case to kick away SE and Z5 Compact. And no more, than $399 =)

So rumored the end of April roll out date for the S7 Mini has come and gone [sigh]. Some naysayers say forget about a S7 Mini because its never going to happen... that Samsung is strictly interested in the "BIG" phone market segment. Others say to wait a little longer, that we should see the Mini roll out by the end of June. Granted... there were hot rumors of a S6 Mini and as we all know, it never happened... but the optimist in me remembers that Samsung did release a S5 Mini. The S5 Mini is now several years old... its time for a refresh!
The realist in me can accept that a smaller smart phone is a niche market... (limited audience). Then again, why not try and capture a bigger percentage of the entire market by offering a phone for both groups of people (not everyone wants a big phone).
My biggest fear is Samsung was waiting for the rollout of the Apple SE. Not so Samsung could make their mini better than the SE... but was waiting to see how the market responded in general. As we all know by now, the SE was pretty much a dud. Not a fail perse'... but it sure didn't generate much buzz. I personally think the SE failed to make a big splash because of its limited features (No texting in landscape mode and poor Bluetooth performance, etc) Maybe since the world failed to go crazy over a smaller phone Samsung decided to pull the plug on the S7 Mini.
I still think there's a place in the world for a smaller smartphone... providing it offers great performance and has most of the features of the larger models. One can only hope.

I suggest GMSarena to remove this page. This phone will not see the light. The rumour has been cooked enough, from end of April release to end of Q2. There's zero acknowledgement from Samsung apart from obscure benchmark numbers which some dudes wanted to believe as S7 mini. This is nothing more than a lie to stop iPhone SE sale while Samsung figuring how to counter.
