i m using s duos from last 6 months its nice mobile for people who want to buy mid range phone...never read negative comments if u like just buy... camera is good gaming like subway surfers temple run 1,2 cricket all are working good i m using whatsapp bbm viber etc...this mobile is worth for its price..samsung rocks

I am using this phone for past 6 months and totally unsatisfied. Don't buy this phone, very slow, hang problem, hang problem during games.

I discovered a reason why rooted galaxy s duos slows down or hangs.
Go to apps > my files > all files > SD cards > DCIM. While here, click menu and scroll to settings option. You click on 'show hidden files' and go out of menu options.
You will find, in DCIM, a folder called thumbnails. I found out that every time I open gallery and look at pictures or share them, thumbnails folder generates a massive 1.8 to 2.0gb thumbnails file which fills up my internal memory.
This slows down every operation and function of my device. Shutting down is even a problem. I am yet to find an app to solve this issue. It is even worse than cache file accumulation.
You cannot move apps to external SD card on this phone (rooted or unrooted). You cannot, I repeat, move apps to external SD card on this phone. No app2sd or tricks works. Period!
This is another reason why internal memory fills up fast. Only files, photos and videos can go to external sd card.

Well, I have been using this phone from last 1.2 years. The phone is very slow in its processing and the gaming lags a bits.
The main problem I faced is the hardware key,it becomes unresponsive after a year.
The phone is small in its internal storage.
And it promises to give jellybean but haven't received yet.

superb mobile.cheap and best mobile.for slow problem download smart ram booster from www.appxk.com
for browsing use opera and for downloading use ucbrowser. no problem.superb battery life.(16 hours).dont beleive any rumors from others.while charging ur phone if the battery is fully charged suddenly the charger should be removed orelse u will have battery longstanding problem..for extra battery life download battery hd app..it is the best app which will stand extra 4 hours ..jelly bean update is coming soon.after the kitkat official launch samsung will provide jelly bean update to this mobile..superb phone to play game like temple run ozx, cricket,subway surfers etc..note: u should charge ur mobile only when the battery is below 10 % and u should remove ur phone suddenly after the completion of 100 or 99 percent.this is for all android mobile users.if u follow the above instructions u wont get problems.gud bye..
