I see there is a confusion about the ram of the phone. Intially at its launch the phone had 646mb of ram. But then people started complaining about the phone being slow. So within 3 months of its launch the phone got its first price cut and the makers also increased the ram upto 768mb.

simhadri, 08 Aug 2013hai frnds plz tell me exart answer to my question............. moreI have been using this phone for almost a year. I bought it within a week of its launch for 20k, considering price at that time i am disappointed by its performance.
Pros: feels good in hand, good display, still camera takes crisp and bright pictures, user friendly ui, dual sim, lets u play high ends( though lags a bit at times), battery backup is fine
Cons: lags and hangs a lot,( after using for a few months you will find yourself restarting the phone once a day if you are a rigorous user like me) activating dual sim causes network problems, internet browser sometimes crashes, touchscreen is not so resposnsive while playing games ( temple run and dead trigger mainly).
Its a good dual sim smart phone considering the price is around 10k now. Don't install too many apps and keep half ram clear and don't run too many apps at the rame time then it will run smooth. But if you are a single sim user then you can look for other options.
This is an honest opinion from a personal experience of a user. No brand bashing has been done here.

at first look phones look good.....and it is also a good phone....but there are some issues......
first i'll tell u the real specification of this phone...
645MB RAM (not 768MB)
phone memory is only 1.69GB (not 1.8)
one of my reason to buy this phone is in future it is upgradable to 4.1.2 jelly beans but its not. it still 4.0.4 icecream sandwich.
in this phone if u install lots of app and full internal memory.....then phone starts hanging.....but if u keep memory half the phone runs smooth......
at last i want to say, in this range only phone is nokia lumia 520 which is not dual sim not android....if u want android and dual sim and manage to 4.0.4 and low internal memory and ram then go for s duos else not

hey guyz i am totlly cofused buying fone.
Galaxy s duos or galaxy young.
Galaxy s duos price-9000.
Galaxy young -8000.
After read review both fone s duos has gud camera screen, 16m color but laggy fone.
But young review are mutch gud but small screen camere are nt gud than s duos.
Which one buy anyone suggest me.

dont buy this phone, completely waste of money, i bought this crap may 26 2013 and right aftr two month it got broken down.
submitted it to service centre where i came to know (after 1 week) tht mother board need to be changed.
1) it hangs alot,
2) freezes aload,
3) so sluggish multitasking nt possible so many times while u r gettng call the phone screen shows nothing to pick up the phone.
i have used nokia, motorola touch phones. now i feel their phones r way higher than this samsung s duos gt7562.

I am feeling very bad after investing Rs 14000/- for this rubish model of samsung. This is very very rubish... i m nt able to access net on this modle. It gets hang and very slow.. if samsung have solution them help me ...my contact mailing- sohanjaipur@yahoo.co.in

please dont blamme this mobile because eevery mobile has its own destiny like humans....
if you facing problems that is your falt either you are using rash or you are going with the wish of sgs4.........

hey friends dont give negetive marking...
because think for only 14000rs(i bought) it is giving you the performence of other like sgs4. grand etc...... if you are suffering from problems please chek them and find a solution ...... even i also suffered i found solutions now i am very happy with my lovelly galaxy s duos.......

Worst phone I have ever used. Network problems, connectivity issues, poor headset quality and worthless for the price we pay.

For all having network problems I had changed the SIM card and inserted a different carrier SIM card..And guess what!!!!! the phone was working fine...Flawless..But reinserting the previous SIM takes me back to the same problem.
So always check the sim you use.
