This one was a given, but we can’t help but love it when it has been officially confirmed. The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been officially confirmed by Samsung UK to receive the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update, although there was no dates mentioned, apart from the promise that they will keep us posted.
We had previously reported on a rumored list of devices that were scheduled to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update, and the Samsung Galaxy S2 was among them. We’re not sure about the fate of the other devices, but then again the devices listed are some of Samsung’s latest products, so it’s not a stretch to imagine that they would be eligible for the update as well.

Safi, 08 Nov 2011Can anyone help me to know how I can take my contacts from ... moreSend all you contacts to your email. Then retrieve it via email on your SII. Since smartphones are using different file format for their contacts (Blackberry: .ipb; Samsung: .sbp; etc.), sending it via email will change the file extension to .vcf which will be readable on any smartphone. It works when I move contacts from my Blackberry :)

Love the phone! It's the best on the market at this time, followed fairly closely by HTC Sensation & Motorola Atrix. iPhone 4 is soooo "last year". (But iPhone 5 should raise the ante next year.) Fairly soon we'll be seeing 4-processor CPU's running at 2 GHz & 8-processor GPU's. Best phones for future-proofing are the ones based on Android Operating System.

For those who want to buy this unit, you will not regret it. Having an experience using other samsung phones will be of great help. Just be sure that your MICRO SD card is less than 16gb to avoid memory conflict. For the other features, it has surpassed the IP4, the camera WOW, connection is fast & reliable, you don't need to have your old sim card cut or reduced to a smaller size. The interface as well is good. With a 1.2 processor, it's almost using a PC. Just don't use animated wallpapers for it will consume most of your battery.
