Samsung support says the Galaxy SII Skyrocket DOES NOT have gorilla glass

That being said, I did the pen test on mine, and it passed with flying colors. So either it's Gorilla Glass, or Samsung has some strong, no VERY strong, AMOLED Glass on this model.
Well glaas aside,I just wanted to talk about many features I enjoy. First was the immediate Upgrade from Android 2.3.2 to 2.3.6 that I was able to get, from phone updates> settings section. Someone mentioned the 217 vs 207 pxx, however the i727 has much better color then the other model. Also the AMOLED Technology, makes using this so much easier, then my previous phone (Streak 5) While, I do miss the screen real estate

Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket i727 vs Samsung Galaxy S II i9100
Skyrocket have more powerful on CPU(Dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion) but less 207 ppi pixel density than i9100 with Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 and 217 ppi pixel density..
What should I buy ? thanks !

Actually Android 2.3.3 and Iphone 4 are great phones. They are very competitive. Iphone losses to those 4.3" Android phones. Btw, the Galaxy Notes here in SG are still very expensive because they always run out of stock lately. Keep it up Samsung and Android!!! I wonder what will be the out come of IceCreamSandwich. Hope it would be better.

The update locked my Skyrocket into a continual 30 second reboot loop of death. Safe mode didn't work, nor did pulling the battery and SIM card. I went to the AT&T store, mostly to complain, because I knew they would just say, "Do a factory reset." There was another guy right in front of me with same problem.

Now, for every iphone lover, and every android lover, here i am, a 4 year old iphone user/ blackberry. I have finnaly purchased the samsung galaxy s2 lte in canada. and i can now finnaly say i know what all the hype is about. android DESTROYS iphone, it is unbeleivable, many people who critisize android only do because they never got there hands on one....
I am in shock/AMAZE.... this phone does...whatever you want it to, from live wallpapers, to direct google launch, to customizing how strong you want the vibrate to feel, to everything free in the droid market and SO MUCH MORE!
All i can say is, everyone, get the galaxy s2 1.5 ghz dual core, it will blow your mind away and it will also blow the minds of people you show it to. 10/10.
I wonder how i ever thought iphone was the greatest, i apologize android fans for bashing you for these past years. you were right.

y can't samsung skyrocket make soud and camare like nokia i meant any nokia?
cause nokia phone alway has better camera even 3or5 megepix but it can beat the 5or8 megepix from other brand phone. And soud like music mp3 play from nokia is unbeatable:'(but i still like androi phone cause it fast that about it.

the galaxy II is actually faster dude. Check the comarison vids. plus that dumb 1.5 snapdragon isnt as good as trhe 1.2 a9 processor. Its like a 8 year old child that can process and retain info better than a 12yr old...try to teach them both spanish the a9 (8yr old) wins every time

it took me like 20 minutes to determine the phone I have and this is it.
why cant samsung call them different things.. this is obviously an s2 but s2 skyrocket is not even mentioned ANYWHERE
no lte in my area but i must say 4g is a bit lax.. the processor makes up for it but my iphone out performs on 4g/3g
lte is "coming soon" ill keep you guy updated ask any questions @douglasjordan on twitter.

This thing must be mad-fast with its 1.5 ghz processor (the high clock is most likely possible because of its size, meaning broader power rails and better heat dissipation) and the adreno 220 GPU which is supposed to be faster at graphics than mali 400, sgx 540, tegra 2 etc., another major boost will be the small resolution of its screen. If i had the chance i`d buy it but it is not out yet here in sweden and i think the price will be way higher than i-9100 s2.

Anonymous, 22 Nov 2011one more similar issue of s2 with the update of screen size... moreMotorola E398 (StereoMoto) as well as ROKR E1 have the best speakers in phones.
This Skyrocket has an awfully low res screen. Same crap as normal SII. Does not belong in such large screens.

Only 480 x 800 pixels with 4.5 inches (~207 ppi pixel density)??? How lame is that? I saw this phone at the store and it's not sharp at all. Looks like my old Captivate. No thank you, i'll pass.

I have a concern about skyrocket. Very short battery strength.....drains faster in weak connection areas or following music or video play. How can it be improved?
