Samsung Galaxy S III Android 4.2.2 firmware leaks

20 May, 2013

SamMobile have managed to get their hands on an upcoming software update for the Galaxy S III. This new update will upgrade the device to Android 4.2.2 and brings with it a ton of new features.

For starters, you get the usual Android 4.2 features, including expanded notifications using a two finger swipe that reveals additional options, lockscreen widgets and Daydream support. Other than that, Samsung has also added several features that were introduced on the Galaxy S4.

We are talking about features such as new lockscreen animation, improved notification screen with additional shortcut buttons, new Settings app UI, improved S Voice white background option in the Gallery app, display color profile settings and much more.

Samsung is still working on the update and it is expected to start rolling out in June. If you're feeling impatient, you can hit the source link and download the early firmware, taking into consideration the usual risks. You will also find a lot more screenshots in the link below.
