can the sprint version of this phone use gsm sim, if yes , how can I go about it

The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes in several flavors. Those branded with the Att logo will only do GSM, many, but not all Verizon branded versions will have CDMA as primary, but go to gsm mode if traveling in an area without CDMA (AKA 'global phone'). It is possible to unlock a verizon phone with a sim card and use it on Att, but not the other way around as verizon uses CDMA as primary. It is not easy in many cases navigating around trying to figure out what phone operates on what network without having that phone in your hands.
there are web sites out there that will help, but they do offer bad info every so often (double check). *NOTE* not all verizon phones will have a sim card....only a select few noted as Global and a few others not obviously noted. A phone that needs a sim card to work is quite often a GSM phone. hope this helps....

its awsome after updating to 4.1.2 now gsm sim also works in it.its not cdma its cdma + gsm phone .really loving this phone.

The Verizon wireless version has a sim slot, I rooted then sim unlocked it using a root app and tada! sim unlocked phone and internet working using an AT&T SIM card. don't beleve the hype, believe the hack!!!
