has anyone been able to update this phone to 4.1.2 so far via kies?
i could not find any updtes being available.
i'm in india using a USA at&t unit.

from 4.1.1.
to 4.1.2
(some nice features better tweaks!)
Update your Samsung KIES program
or perhaps even better, program-uninstall
it (Cleans Registry JUNK too!)
with the free REVO UNINSTALLER on (Moderate)
(bye bye backups)
and then
Do a Fresh ISNTALL of SAMSUNG KIES
( do not tick the Wifi or lite version)
( as it wil be picked up usually anyhow)
and onces installed - for deep stuff like
Taht I like to do a hard reboot to write
a pure and clear new registry...
and THEN plug in your S3...
- first the drivers will be installed -
(I run 3 Samsung Devices: 2 TABS abd the S3)
then the KIES program should finally tel you
there is an Update for your FIRMWARE.
.
Make certain your S3 battery is Well Pumped Up
and NEVER remove the uUSB wiring until the entire long process is over and you are positive that the things si fully done. perhaps even wait 3 for 4 minuyes as writing registry stuff to firmware is delicate at most times... So Close all your Windows programs ( except the KIES) , Flush the S3 memeory locations too before hand.
- that should do it for y'all. :)

Jellybean 4.1.2 update is now available for this Model of GS3. Update it. You will get multivew as well as an improved Galery app.

Ok, hotspot works now. Installed portable wifi free from playstore and it bypasses the verification. Solved my wifi connection problem by unplugging my router and modem then plugging them back in and my S3 connected right away.

Please help: Just upgraded from unlocked Blu Dash 4.0 to an unlocked AT&T S3 I747, trying to set it all up but it will not connect to my home Wi-Fi router (haven't tried any other wi-fi network) and I cannot get the hotspot to work (says i need to go to att.com/mywireless or dial 611, neither of which help) I did not have these 2 issues with my Blu Dash 4.0, i use straight talk unlimited plan, what am I doing wrong???
