I just got this phone and it's amazing so far. Smooth, fluid... no big issues.

The thing people need to understand is that NO phone is perfect. There will ALWAYS be some sort of tiny flaw with something, or it'll lack features that you may have wanted.

The main thing is, get a phone that suits the majority of your needs... and you'll be happy :)

I have been using iPhone 4 for a little over 2 years now. I was waiting for S3 to be released in the US, thinking to switch to S3. Until now I didn't like the screen resolution of Galaxy, so I was hoping that the screen of the new Galaxy has got as good as that of iPhone. I admit the lack of freedom with iPhone but I took iphone at that time since it was the only device that had high-resolution display. However I wanted to escape from the cage of iPhone this time if I liked the display characteristics of S3. I went to a local Sprint store yesterday afternoon and spent an hour or so playing with the demo unit of the S3. Since S3 came out with the HD display this time, I had hope. I spent most of the time looking into the display quality, and I was sorry to find myself disappointed at the display on the screen. Compared to the retina display of iPhone, S3 was not not as clear and each pixcel was not as clear especially for small characters. I suppose it's an artifact of the pentile(?) display format that Samsung has employed for the device. Small characters were less readable and less clear. My conclusion was that, for displaying images (ie, viewing pictures and playing games) S3 is an excellent device, but if you mainly surf and read articles in small characters on the device, S3 is not as good as iPhone. I will wait until next iPhone comes out. When Samsung improves the display I will consider switching to Galaxy.

Last year, Adobe announced that it is going to stop the development of mobile Flash Player for Android. Adding further nails in that coffin, Adobe has now announced that Flash Player won't be supported in Android 4.1. A prime example of this is the new Nexus 7 tablet, that ships without Flash support.
Furthermore, Adobe has announced that it will cease new Flash Player downloads from the Google Play Store, starting August 15. This means you will no longer see the Flash Player in the Play Store if it is not already installed on your device. Devices that already have the Flash Player installed will continue to receive minor updates and bug fixes post August 15.
Since the Flash Player is not supported in Android 4.1, Adobe is urging users to uninstall it before updating to Android 4.1, as it will not work properly. Also, any future updates to the Flash Player will not work under Android 4.1.
So it seems the era of Flash on Android has come to an end. What was once touted as a key selling point for Android devices is now being killed by its own maker. It doesn't help that Google too wants to distance itself from this archaic technology, as seen by the lack of Flash support in Chrome for Android even under Android 4.0.
It goes without saying that Apple has been instrumental in bringing this change. Sooner or later everyone was going to realize that the emperor was wearing no clothes. It's just that Apple was the first to point this out. Hopefully, the web developers will now finally wake up and adopt more modern technologies such as HTML5 for creating web content.

Received mine right on the 21st...amazing product! Samsung's phones continue to dominate over the competition....seems like Sony, Nokia, Apple and Motorola are slipping in terms of determining what's hot and what's a "GOTTA HAVE" in recent months. Top-tier specs, latest & greatest features, PLUS Samsung's reputation of absolutely beautiful displays are no exception here. Add that to the Android OS ICS and what you have is the hand's down greatest phone out right now. I believe this phone has a long retainability, meaning it will support OS updates and software compatibility well beyond your 2-year agreement ;) Enjoy!

I have No idea of the specs on the sound quality or loudness of the the two versions but if the U.S version is 82.3 dB and the international 90, the international is definitly louder.
