Samsung Galaxy S III, Note II will not get Android Lollipop in the UK

05 July, 2015

It appears that Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note II won’t receive an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the United Kingdom. Samsung Mobile UK delivered the news via a reply to a follower on Twitter.

It is worth noting that Samsung UK’s decision to not update the 2013 flagship duo does not apply to all global markets. Samsung Galaxy Note II has been confirmed to receive Android Lollipop in Poland, Denmark, and Finland.

In addition to the United Kingdom, the Note II won’t receive Android Lollipop in the Gulf region. Overall, each global branch of the Korean giant appears to handle the update decision for the device differently.
