Did u root yur device???
Unroot your device and root your device again..
If not,maybe there is screen lock apps in your device..
DISABLE them....

I don't know if this problem is just with the tab i have. I applied simple 4 digit password as security lock. After few days (typically a week) password unlock does not work. This happened 3 times so far and everytime complete wipe off seems the only option and start afresh. Has anyone got a solution to this issue?

Galaxy Tab 3V....Hmm.....Its an okay opinion.Offer great and high speed cpu but the android version of kikat 4.4.4 destroy everything.Kitkat version is old and always laggy.But the android 5.0 lollipop and 6.0 marshmallow is better and saves battery,but samsung will never update its galaxy tab 3v.So,to prevent this,my android developer communities has develop CWRM Recovery and Cynanogen Mod to apply newer android version in some non-upgradable device.The process was complicated and if u really want to,U can DM me in instagram...

But u can upgrade yur tab 3v to lollipop by using CWRM Recovery and Cynanogen Mod.And also u need to root yur tab 3v.Cannot explain here coz the process was complicated and very long.If u want,u can DM me in instagram...

The tab is good for the money you have paid for it.Tab can run many different games without any lag,it has good and strong CPU.I have one and I am totally satisfied with it.I put many games on my tab and it still runs fast.Camera is not so good,so I do not use it much.The tab has good speakers and when you talk with someone you hear him clearlytab also has good speakers which is important for music,I also watch lots of movies on it and it has no lags.It charges aproximately 3,5-4 hours,but its battery lasts to 6 days if you do not use it for games,movies,and internet.From 1 to 5,I would give 4 for this tab.
