I regret getting this so much. Was so excited about the specs, but there is hardly any apps I can use, compared to my cousins iPad.
Avoid for now, for mobile phones, Android is great but for the tablet market, iPad is the clear choice for now.

Needed a sliding keyboard. There is a option to put other Fonts like bengali.
To increase camera megapixel. Enable pendrive insertion throw USB port.

This tab support voice call and sms? that's great! but it runs Gingerbread huh? i thought gingerbread OS does not support calls.

Hi can anyone tell me is it have capability Play Full HD movie and .MKV file type? because i have SGS2 and i record FULL HD 1080p movie from SGS2 and then transfer the video to Galaxy Tab 10.1 can't play it (event it say Full HD video playback on the spec), but when i play the video on Galaxy Tab 7" it can play with some lag(acceptable lag).
because i want to buy this GalaxyTab 8.9 so i already sold my Galaxy Tab 7" since i have SGS2.
so far SGS2 and GalaxyTab 7" can play all type video file. only few .mkv video can't play on GalaxyTab 7"

It's likely to be the most anticipated droid tablet this year, and I really want to get my hands on it soon.
But I've been worrying about the hardware issue since the bigger tab released, some sgtab 10.1 users said that their tab has some kind of 'watermarks' on screen after a while. Will there be similar problem in 8.9 too? Is it the reason why samsung delayed the release, to fix it?
Another thing that's been bothering me is, we've heard that google will launch ice cream sandwich on Q4 this year on new droids. Will there be any updates for this one, or any droids available before the release date? I have sgs2 already and I don't think this one will get any update for it's ice cream...

CAMERA should be minimum 5mp, anything below 5mp today is simply not acceptable. Other then that it looks good :)

Seems the launch is further delayed, 10.1 is been launched, but not 8.9. This is a hot product, sure gonna take samsung to new heights. The trick lies in the pricing, any guess about what could be the price.

Samsung are back again with something even better than the Galaxy S2...
This time they plan to bring the two most popular gadgets in the world together into one device, the Samsung Galaxy Q. It will be half phone, half tablet; likely to release at this year's IFA 2011 in September (that is if all rumours are correct).
The 'tabphone' will come equipped with 5.3" Super AMOLED screen which we all know will be massively impressive after the great success of the Samsung Galaxy S. No reports yet whether it will be Super AMOLED Plus but if Samsung plan to keep standards high, we may just see that stunning screen which we saw on the Galaxy S2.
T3 suggests that it will have a dual-core processor, most likely over 1.2GHz and have a very slim build. It is reported that the Galaxy Q will have 3G radio and US customers will get 4G, but we don't know yet whether the 3G will be data only or also allow calls.
Since it is a mobile phone, tablet merge, we won't know if it will run Gingerbread or Honeycomb. Earlier this year Google announced the highly anticipated Android OS; Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. We may even see this version running on this 'tabphone' as Google said Ice Cream Sandwich will be a standard platform for all devices...
The official release date is yet to be announced but if it isn't released at IFA 2011 in September than we could expect it before or around Christmas time. 2011 has proved to be very popular in the rise of Tablets and Smartphones and Samsung will definitely take advantage of the Christmas spending. The price has also not been announced but should be around the same price as the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S2.

Its will be the first greate tablet that able to call like mobile. I am waiting the actual release date of this device..

I lost my Samsung Tab P1000 and I'm planning to buy the same phone but after reading the specs of SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 8.9. My interest diverted with this phone. Unfortunately, I have a doubts. If this is applicable for SMS and voice communication, after I checked all the pictures and angles in the internet i can't find the icon for the phone and is it true that MICRO SD is not included here based on what i read. But the specs stating there is, which is which?
