Anonymous, 01 Jun 2011My friend this is with 3G, that is why it has GSM capabilitiesThat is an incorrect assumption. 3G is the network on which GSM voice capabilities as well as internet data can be transmitted, but does not mean automatically that it will have the feature.

The tablets were pre-market-release models and couldn't make calls. I don't know if the retail version can make calls.
I played with them for almost an hour and it simply jazzed me.
Am going to get mine through a special order later this week and will update on its performance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 supports GSM voice communications, SMS and MMS.... that's pretty cool, I will get this one...

check the specs of P1000 and 8.9 3G device network it's the same. i think 8.9 3G also has phone capabilities. thanks
