Gadget , 20 Feb 2014Hi,i just bought my samsung galaxy tab 8.9 P7300 from china... moremine can read any network...i dont have any problem using this tab.im using this tab for more than a year now.

                caesar, 17 Oct 2013I am using the tab which was bought in china,but I can dow... moreHi,i just bought my samsung galaxy tab 8.9 P7300 from china which my supplier told me that it supports sim card with phone calling but the problem right now is that the tablet is not reading any sim card all it shows is insert sim and no network so can a brand new tablet do this or do i have to install any app for it to read sim. Please i need urgent reply

                    2 . Download the ROM used in accordance with ( 1 only ) :
                    - For Costum ROM stock ICS or ICS -based use :

                    - To CM9 based ROM by using :

                    - For CM10 ROM based Jellybean ( 4.1.1 ) based use :

                    - For AOKP ROM based based use :
                    http://forum.xda-developers.co ...d=1347169696

                    3 . After 2 File ( modem and voice calls enabled ) has been downloaded , reboot to recovery

                    4 . Make a backup let more secure

                    5 . First install the modem file ( CWM_I9103XXLQ3_Modem.zip )

                    6 . then further install his Enable Voice Call

                    7 . Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache

                    8 . reboot

                    9 . Log in the main menu icon view there is an additional " PHONE " or could be seen in the Contact

                    10 . Call someone !

                          i used to check for ice-cream sandwich update daily(tab 8.9 3G), it always showed no updates available, had also checked using Samsung kies. then i read somewhere on youtube, that i should FACTORY RESET my tab and then use kies to check for update, and now ive been enjoying ice-cream sandwich ever since. hope this helps anyone still using honeycomb. PEACE.

                                        Samsung galaxy tab 8.9 can only make calls if you update the android version 4.0.3or 4.0.4.. mine makes call.
