I am from Egypt, howa i can make software updated from 3.2 andriod to ice cream, nothing that when i do updates from the tablet says no updates available and how i can make reguall cell calls?????

If you are not going to root the phone then you wont have the latest android. This means no turning off the 3G without apps etc.
If it's just wifi that you want, try the Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7310 instead. That's the wifi only model.

Hello,
I have this tablet. bougth in march 2012.
I have two questions.
First one is how to upgrade the tablet to Android 4.x? Since I bougth it I NEVER had a single system update neither via OTA nor Kies.
The second is about the specs posted here, it says it's a GSM phone.. how I can use it as GSM phone.. only data works... if I try to call to the table I just got a call failure tone..and where is the app to make calls? (SIM card obviously is working as a phone in other devices)

hi guys
im trying to upgrade my p7300 to ics using kies but it stucks at 99%. iv tried formatting my device n retried upgrading via kies, but once its at 99%, it doesnt go further... and one more ques, if i upgrade using Odin, can i use a EUROPIAN ICS FILE coz i cant find a ics for SOUTH AFRICAN country. if i use the European, will i experience any problems?? plz help.

My experience: XWLP INU (ICS)
THIS TAB CAN PLAY 1080p VIDEOS IN DiVX ONLY, that too with a medium bit rate. In high bit rate ones, buffering seems a problem, but if you watch the video straight away then its OK.
ICS Update makes this TAB really nice, the Touchwiz interface is just like S3 & other ICS devices of Samsung. During update, codec packs would be installed on the device making it capable of any video under 720p & H.264 MP4/DiVX 720p & Only DiVX 1080p in the system player.
However in MX Player, any video till 720p is played in SW & HW+ modes. However if you want 1080p, then you should convert to DiVX.

am connected the tab to the computer that time see the alert mtp connected. but cant transfer the file from computer to tab
