Samsung Tab A9 has a better chipset, and Samsung has better software support. So the right answer is Tab A9. Now it's up to you, what your priority is. If you don't care about performance and updates then buy the Redmi Pad se

Steve, 21 May 2024WIFI only. Doesn't support SIM card. OverpricedFirst, there is a version of this tablet with a cellular connectivity. Second, either you get the WiFi version or the cellular version, it's never gonna be overpriced. Either variants are good for the price. Just in case you're not aware, the chipset found here can be seen on other brands but at a higher price, which makes it one of the most affordable tablets with Helio G99.

I purchased the Samsung Tab A9 (4/64 version) for about Rs 8700 ($104) in India, after all discounts on May 2. My daughter uses the iPad and wife uses the Redmi Pad, while I had the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) which was quite slow and low in RAM (2GB) and space (32GB).
I basically wanted a smaller tab (about 8-9 inches) for portability and convenience and did not mind the limited specifications as I mainly use the tab for emails, browsing the net, WhatsApp/Telegram chats, listening/streaming music and to start reading books via the Kindle app.
At this price, the A9 tab is really nice and compact. I have had absolutely no touch issues thus far. In order to free up and save on internal storage, all of my installed apps have been moved to the SD card. The screen is perfectly acceptable to me as I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) since the past 4 years.
I have used the Logitech K380 keyboard and Pebble 2 M350s Slim Mouse with the Tab A9 and it worked beautifully. It was my micro-PC while I was on a holiday.
People who buy the Tab A9 should be aware of its strengths and limitations. it is not a high-end tab for gaming or demanding apps. Have limited expectations and the tab A9 will deliver well. Have high expectations and the A9 will surely disappoint.

Anonymous, 14 May 2024I want to know that does it includes the pencil to if not h... moreNo. Stylus is not included & Tab A9 is not compatible with Samsung's S Pen.
There are some generic stylus in the market (mostly Chinese brands, like Baseus) that are compatible with Tab A9.

I have lost my patience waiting for Samsung to fix the multitouch issues. I decided to sell the Tab A9 unit & buy Lenovo Legion Y700 (global version, 12GB RAM, 256GB ROM) for USD415.
Yes, the Legion Y700's price is 3x the Galaxy Tab A9, but what I really need is a small Android tablet (about 8") that is reliable for gaming.
I would recommend Galaxy Tab A9 for watching videos or browsing the internet, but I wouldn't recommend it for gaming.

I have been using this
a9 for mote than a month. There is a known issue witb touch screen. If the tablet had a screen protector on, the touch screen is really bad. Without Screen Protector, it was all right. Keep inmy there is no touch sensitivity option available in Tab A9.
