I have this tablet since 2015. And it's still running well. Albeit, I use this alternately with another phone. Also, I had to remove most apps that are not in use since this only has 16gb memory. I bought a new folding case for around 4usd so it looks good again. I'm using it mainly for web browsing and media streaming, Netflix and YouTube. I wanted to replace this with S6 lite or maybe S7 lite when it gets released, depending on the price. But it seems such a shame to have to let this go when it is still serving its purpose. This is by far the longest time I have ever owned any gadget.

anon, 22 May 2019after almost 4 years of usage, newer version of this phable... moreOverprice tablet with only XGA TFT snapdragon 410 and only 2/16 and given price over 300 USD, this tablet is overpriced because wacom digitizer for Spen otherwise it should be price at 150 USD for very low spec even at 2015

after almost 4 years of usage, newer version of this phablet has released. if you want to move on for newer version, it's time for this brick to retire.
I'm satisfied during 3 years of usage, then samsung start rolling their "security update". It really make this phone sluggish and my battery can't go down under 25% as they will force shut down and enter bootloop state.
latest update (somewhere around late 2018) make it worse. Idle state usually eat only 600mb of ram suddenly jump to 1.3gb without any background apps, and battery power reduced again, entering bootloop state at 30%
so, yeah, samsung follow the apple way to kill its old device and forcing customer to buy their newer shit. so, if you in 2019 want to buy this phablet, pls consider twice since newer tab a 8" with s-pen is at the same price with this brick

last firmware. 7.1.1 and security patch 1 August 2017. I think that's the last update from samsung, with only 2gb of ram in 2015 shoukd be ok but in 2018 it shows it already growing old, I installed only basic apps and used it to watch video on bed and reading with sometimes doing scatch, worth the money I spend in 2015
