ahhh. my very first tablet. still works fine after 10 years. flashed android 7.1.2 on it. gotta be honest, it is slow. however it's not absolute trash. camera is indeed trash though. After flashing android 7.1.2 it's kinda decent considering it supports newer apps. anyone knows how to overclock this by flashing custom kernel on it? sc8830 chipset. spreadtrum 1.3ghz all core eu version android 4.4.4 but flashed with magisk roooted 7.1.2 viperos

I'm thinking of putting an SD in it and transfer some of the apps on to it in hopes that it may run a little faster? I was using it to watch shows but it would freeze up too much. lol.

Also, run the optimization at least weekly. It puts unneeded or apps you aren't using that are running in the background to sleep. I purchased mine in 2015 when they first came out and like you said as it got older I found it got slower. Performing the task I mentioned helped speed it up. I stream through the browser as much as it will allow. The key was limiting the number of apps though. I recently upgraded to a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite which I really like, but I plan on keeping my Tab E around for a bit longer as a back up tablet for media use mostly. Good luck.

Bought mine back in 2016. At that time it was a budget killer. Mine is the 1.5gb/8gb eu version. It will be turning 8 next January. Absolutely great device. Iinitially, I bought this for surfing the Internet and light gaming. But to be honest, back in it's prime it was a fair all rounder in all those years I never needed to take this to the service center. The battery is still great and the tab can run 10+ tabs on chrome even now (although to be fair, it runs an older version of chrome). But it can't be used as a main device at this era because of the lack of software support, Android 4, low ram and storage etc. But it's still a very convenient device to use for Netflix, YouTube(on browser, the app stopped supporting two years ago ) and reading pdf and books. One legendary device of it's era. Served me through my childhood pretty well.
