Also, run the optimization at least weekly. It puts unneeded or apps you aren't using that are running in the background to sleep. I purchased mine in 2015 when they first came out and like you said as it got older I found it got slower. Performing the task I mentioned helped speed it up. I stream through the browser as much as it will allow. The key was limiting the number of apps though. I recently upgraded to a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite which I really like, but I plan on keeping my Tab E around for a bit longer as a back up tablet for media use mostly. Good luck.

Bought mine back in 2016. At that time it was a budget killer. Mine is the 1.5gb/8gb eu version. It will be turning 8 next January. Absolutely great device. Iinitially, I bought this for surfing the Internet and light gaming. But to be honest, back in it's prime it was a fair all rounder in all those years I never needed to take this to the service center. The battery is still great and the tab can run 10+ tabs on chrome even now (although to be fair, it runs an older version of chrome). But it can't be used as a main device at this era because of the lack of software support, Android 4, low ram and storage etc. But it's still a very convenient device to use for Netflix, YouTube(on browser, the app stopped supporting two years ago ) and reading pdf and books. One legendary device of it's era. Served me through my childhood pretty well.

Worst Samsung tablet ever made. The only good thing about this under powered piece of junk was the battery. Maybe because it ran so slow it never used enough power to wear the battery down.

My grandpa used this model for years on his gigs, he was a well known musician in my hometown. He passed away a year ago and my grandmother just gave me his tablet with all his files. I looked up the model to see what year it came out in, can't believe it's been so long that it's discontinued... I guess it was a good one if his still works. He always took good care of his things.

This was my first device either than some kind of old nokia phone. its was pretty good at the time, and i still have it. i still use it when i need a bigger screen to watch videos or something like that, but either than that, its basically in the grave.
