Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 LTE SM-T325 which is a [2014 MARCH] model with high-end specification (2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM) DOES NOT and WILL NOT meet the minimum hardware requirements for it to be upgraded to Android Lollipop according to Samsung!
While for, Motorola's MOTO G which is a [2013 NOVEMBER] MODEL (Google it) with low-end specs (1.2GHz Snapdragon 400, 8GB storage, 1GB RAM) is currently pending on its Android 5.1 Lollipop Update!
So please consider before buying Samsung tablet.

Ash, 29 Sep 2014Tab Pro 8.4 is better in performance than 8.4 S even though... moreWell, in my country, no luck to get the 2.3 Quad core Snapdragon processor on Tab S. Unless you get the imported version, but imported warranty is very annoying. May take up months for warranty repair if something goes wrong with the tab.

Hi have now had this tablet for a month and must say it is a brilliant experience. I had one issue with a stuck pixel but when my battery got completely drained it corrected itself, otherwise I would have returned it. This was hardly noticeable and could only be seen on a completely black screen. Other than that it works great and I am very happy with my choice. Only thing that could make it better is stock android.

Tab S 8.4 User, 16 Sep 2014Should you guy buy the Tab S 8.4, instead of this one. Tab... moreTab Pro 8.4 is better in performance than 8.4 S even though 8.4 S has 3 GB RAM. This is though for the 1.9 GHz version. If the one you have in your area is the 2.x GHz one (and has the Snapdragon chipset), do go for that as that has superior performance as well (apart from the better glass on the screen)

Should you guy buy the Tab S 8.4, instead of this one.
Tab S 8.4 has identical feature as Tab Pro 8.4, except Tab S has AMOLED display, fingerprint sensor, and thinner body.

Regarding the screen timing out... Switch the smart stay off ... its on the top pull down menu... I have the Tab3 but I don't look at it directly so it cannot detect me and then switches off... I usually have it lying down on the table !!! ...
On a related note...
I have a Note3 now, but find I do more internet stuff and messaging than voice calls so will change to the Tab4 .. lot cheaper than the note4 bigger screen has the same functions etc and cheaper !!! Yes the Note4 prob has better spec, however, when is enough enough? My note3 screen is great it doesn't need to be clearer for me as I just read the news, message and run my ebay store from it..
