Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e and Tab A 10.1 (2019) arrive in the US on April 26

The two mid-range tablets Samsung announced at the middle of February are finally close to launching in the US. The Galaxy Tab S5e and the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) will both be available Stateside on April 26. You'll find them at the company's own website as well as "major retailers", including Best Buy and Amazon.

The new Tab A 10.1 will be yours for $229, while the Tab S5e is priced at $399. If you pre-order a Tab S5e between April 12 and April 25, you will receive a free Samsung SmartThings Hub.

The Galaxy Tab S5e comes with a 10.5" 2560x1600 Super AMOLED touchscreen, the Snapdragon 670 chipset, 4 or 6GB of RAM, 64 or 128GB of expandable storage, a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP selfie snapper, 5.5mm thickness, 400g weight, Android 9 Pie on board, and a 7,040 mAh battery.

The Tab A 10.1 boasts a 10.1" 1920x1200 LCD display, the Exynos 7904 SoC, 2 or 3GB of RAM, 32, 64, or 128GB of expandable storage, an 8 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper, 7.5mm thickness, 470g weight, Android 9 Pie on board, and a 6,150 mAh battery.

For both tablets you can buy a book cover, sold separately, and accessories for the S5e also include a book cover keyboard, a charging dock, and a slim cover. It has four speakers, whereas the Tab A has to make do with two.

In this year the ordinary phones are so big that no tablet is required :-)
