Anonymous, 13 Jan 2021s5e is a premium midranger tablet kinda... the s6 lite is f... moreS5e has a much better screen (AMOLED vs. PLS) but I have the S6 Lite and I have to say you can't really tell much of a difference when watching movies, tv shows, etc. That screen still looks nice. Beside that, S5e does support Dex but why do you need that on a tablet? The tablet already has everything you need for a desktop experience. And S6 Lite has the S-Pen which you'll love if you'd like to do some productivity or even for organizational stuff. And one little extra - Tab S6 Lite will still get 3 Android upgrades, S5e just two (and it's over a year old so only one more upgrade).

        The S5e has better display, OLED v TFT on the S6 lite although the S6 lites screen is surprisingly good imo
        4 speakers on the S5e and 2 on the S6 lite
        No spen on S5e!
        S6 lite will get 3 years of OS updates (as you say, more future proof)
        Both have really good build quality, glass screen and aluminium back.


        That's the kind of things I would look at for an example. Good idea would be to use the compare function on gsmarena and just go through each spec one by one. Very hard to say what would be best for YOU and tbh some people are biased and bear in mind a S5e owner may not have used a S6 lite etc and a S6 lite user may not have used a S5e.

          If you do a lot of gaming and don't use an Spen then I would recommend S5e although the difference is not huge. Can easily play COD mobile with med settings on the S6 Lite with high frame rate setting and have no heat issues.

          The screen is better on the S5e (OLED) V

              Bought it. Love it. Two things, though.:

              1. Could they PLEASE stop putting sharp edges on their devices. After holding it for a while, my hands hurt. The edges of the screen are killing me.

              2. Why, why is there no loop on the S Pen for a lanyard. The magnets are too weak and it keeps falling off. I'm having no luck finding a lanyard that will work.

                Can't decide on the S6 lite or S5e for my first tablet? S5e looks a far better spec, but S6 lite looks more future proof for updates. Can't get to store to physically assess the tablets. I want to get the 128gb version, but how much difference does the 6gb on S5e versus 4gb on S6 lite make in reality?

                      This is great for students. I can finally take notes while i'm watching video without having my eyes all over the place. It really helps me pick up my pace. Multitasking is great. There is room for improvement though on split screen functionality. The highlight of the tablet is the pen. Finally I don't have to carry mountains of notes.

                        The S pen feel like a real pencil in the hand (thin, light)
                        I'm sketching it with Infinite Painter and suprisingly its really good.

                          Great tablet. Nice and thin, great screen quality, easy to use and great for multiple tasks .I recommend this tablet to anyone who's looking for an affordable excellent option.

                            I received the December security patch on the S6 Lite, about 350MB or something like that.

I am very much conf... moreHi, actually it is true that writing and drawing is MUCH better on the iPad, it comes at an extra cost which I don't think is worth that much, and it has to be charged repeatedly, whereas spen is free of cost in the box, and doesn't need to be charged, otherwise for zoom calls Samsung s6 lite has a better camera and as for screen, though TFT, the quality and colors are very good, though iPad is better. As for audio, Samsung has better. So I think you should go for the Samsung as if you don't have other apple devices then it will be difficult sharing files, and it is a little more expensive. I have been using the tab s6 lite since launch and it has not disappointed.

                                    I am disappointed with the old chipset of S6 lite, which is less than minimal requirement of zoom virtual background. Minimal of zoom virtual backgound's requirement is exynos 9810.
