I am very much conf... moreThe tab s6 lite's spen is a show stealer. I have used for a month now. Fits well in your hand. Makes no noise when you write on the screen and it just glides on the screen.
Since you'll probably use it for notes taking keep in mind the spen will damage quickly(mine is already slightly bent but it still works perfectly).
You may not get replacement tips in the box. So consider availability of replacement tips in your country if your buying this tablet just because of the s pen.
It does has a weak processor. Quite slow when web surfing. When heavy gaming the tablet will overheat.

-Casey-, 03 Dec 2020I want a tablet for education purpose.
I am very much conf... moreI have this device:
Display: Samsung. The Aspect ratio is phenomenal for watching movies and the laminated display punches iPad display in the gut. (Display technology alone doesn't make a display great, calibration and brightness does). This screen is better than many ips and oled display.
Audio: Samsung buries apple here.
Writing: Not comparable as not available at same price point. The pen is best among all s pen in design, doesn't require charge and is amazing for writing, drawing and painting.
However writing in tablet is not as intuitive as you would think whether its Samsung or iPad.
Battery: godly among android, better optimisation for YouTube than iPad and you get 3 months YouTube red trial if you have credit card.
Games: Do not buy this for heavy gaming. IPad will do much better job.
Reading: Great with kindle or Google play books.
OS: Not as good at ios at fonts and font sharpness at 224 ppi vs 264 ppi of apple. I personally love apple's san Francisco font. Also less number of optimised app compared to ipad OS but doesn't require extra spending for the apps too. The only real downside is not having those smooth animations like ipadOS. Do select reduced animations if you decide to buy this. Basically IpadOS destroys android os experience in my opinion if you wanna use a lot of apps and i mean a lot. If you wanna use basic number of apps this tab will do just fine.
To be honest you can do anything but it will take more time but it doesn't feel slow even if the processor is slow on paper but only on single-core front to keep in mind. As much as we(including me) hate Exonyos it is the android future but not right now. I love iOS UI though.
Basically if you have some niche app and you dont give damn about watching videos and you wanna play heavy games and love ipadOS animation and font definitely buy ipad. Ipad mini is better. Ipad Air is the best tablet to buy period.
Seriously though get a laptop(although i personally hate them) if you are planning to make the tab your primary productivity device as typing sucks hard in tablets and writing no matter how good it is, is not as productive. And if you want it as secondary device iPad makes less sense due to that screen. If you plan to watch video and make notes then only i will say get a tablet. If money was not a factor iPad Air all the way. Honestly Samsung S6 lite is better at everything except the font sharpness compared to apple in real world usage. IPad is lit but the form factor and screen is subpar and yes laminated display makes you never go back to the base iPad display ones (hell its the only thing i want in a mobile phone now). I am not biased i love Apple's aesthetic choices but they can only dream of beating Samsung at engineering not to mention all apple displays are Samsung displays as apple buys them from Samsung lmao. If you can save buy ipad air as that is the only device that can match S6lite at engineering (yes i said S6 lite, S7 is on another level) but at that price point again laptops become compelling. Basically ios is better than oneUI by a long shot but the base iPad is a Hard No at 2020 even with that great A10 CPU.

I want a tablet for education purpose.
I am very much confused between android and iPads.
The new iPad (8th gen) is very good but when we combine the price of Apple Pencil , the overall price is going at about 40K (Indian rupees).
Whereas the s6 lite can be purchased for around 26k with discounts and it includes the s pen.
But the iPad has a much faster processor (a12 vs exynos 9611) , and better screen (IPS LCD) as compared to TFT on the s6 lite.
And I have heard opinions of people that nothing beats the writing experience of the apple pencil on an iPad.
I want to know the writing experience of the s pen vs Apple Pencil and which is better ?
So my question is , which one should I go for ? The iPad 8th gen or s6 lite considering all factors like specs , price , display , speakers , etc.
Which will last me longer over the years ?
And thank you for reading this and also for answering my question if you do.

Sixth Wave, 01 Dec 2020I owned the Tab S 8.4 since 2015 it has a wonderful display... moreI have the S6 lite since May and it's been a very good tablet. I like the s-pen function whereas I am a Note user so that's all good, the specs are fine and not laggy. Only sometimes there's a little hiccup but that's normal. Updates so far are good, quarterly security updates and it runs android 10, so it will be updated to android 11, 12 and 13. Future proof. I recommend this tablet.

Sixth Wave, 01 Dec 2020I owned the Tab S 8.4 since 2015 it has a wonderful display... moreGo for it. You can find a lot of discounts on the tab s6 lite these days. I just got one myself and writing this on it. As long as you can handle some dropped animations/ minor lags, decent screen and hit and miss face unlock, you are going to be really satisfied. Premium build, minimal bezels, great pen and cover(based on country) included, great speakers, lte with no extra cost and modern ui with plenty of multitasking features.

cutiepie , 28 Nov 2020I want to buy this tablet for attending my online classes, ... moreThe S6 lite will receive 3 years of OS updates which is a big selling point and the S6 lite comes with the Spen for taking notes. Gaming you may find a better is slightly better experience depending on the games you are playing and the S5e's screen is better. In saying that I can quite happily play Call of Duty (medium settings) with no issues whatsoever i find the screen on the s6 lite perfectly adequate and its exceeded my expectations. Very happy and its not as if I'm easily pleased and have a low benchmark when it comes to screens as I use a S20 plus 5g phone. The screen is perfectly acceptable on the S6 lite imo.
