14.6" but less ppi density than s8+ and vanilla model. samsung is known for good oled tv's, they could have easily made a 4k resolution display for the s8 ultra. even smartphones have more ppi with smaller screens.

Anonymous, 16 Feb 2022The moment tablets become more than 1k is when I say just g... moreMy thought process is that most people wind up using their smart phones to consume media and since most high-end phones are already over 1k you might as will use your 1k to buy a big display its basically the same pixel density but expanded to a bigger size other than that you can do the simple things like excel on PowerPoint just fine on a phone or tablet

Memolik, 12 Feb 2022if i want a mini tv i buy a mini tv.I already have a mini tv which Samsung called the Samsung Galaxy View but I liked it so much I had to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra which Samsung had to stop the pre-orders due to the demand for their small tv's.

Straight up, no frills, I wanted a Non American 15.6" laptop with NO Windows but finding one with Linux doesn't provide much in the way of options no matter where you go or who's offering one. No, Apple wasn't an option for me. This left me with the Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra but even then getting one with 16gbs of ram with 512 memory isn't something easily to get from Samsung who appears to have withdrawn the option entirely ?
However, I wanted a 15.6" laptop, the 256 version with 12gb of ram in charcoal gray was the next best option even though it will come with a slightly smaller screen that I'll live with.
It is what it is and I'll go with this until something better shows up without Windows or an Apple in its mouth.

Snapdragon should make a cpu and gpu for tablets, to be able to compete with apple, s8 gen 1 isn't even close to A15 and consumes more power

In other words its a lot different when company promises something and then after a year or so they will tell you the next model will have.
Same story continues since 2018 or so.
