I'm not saying samsung is any better, but samsung has more service centers than microsoft service centers specifically for surface devices.

Great device.Super-fast processor.I myself using for last six months.absolute value for money.Highly recommend it for purchasing it. Only drawback is that its glass cover is still unavailable in the market.Hence need to use it cautiously.

With this price you can buy surface device if you are interested in tablets with windows system which i prefer (because when you have windows you also buy android, Nintendo switch and ps 2-3 and other devices all in one device because of emulators ) like some of these surface devices are really good for example if you pay more 300-450$ you can get asus rog flow z13 which come with 16gb ram and Nvidia 3050Ti and 1TB SSD internal storage and you can make the device more power with external hardware (which in my opinion don't need to) this just my opinion and advise to you guys please don't be offended

the most outrageous thing about this tablet is the $350 price tag for the keyboard cover if you didn't get one for free like me. But it is a sweet tablet and I guess if you want the top of the line non-apple one this is it. 5G works good, can even make phone calls. It's super light and DEX is really good.

As a researcher who has to read/annotate articles, this device appeals to me. A larger screen makes it easier to read/annotate on one half of the screen, while using the other to take notes. However, I already own the S7+, and in my view, Samsung really has to up the software experience to make the device worth the investment.
Samsung Notes has been improved quite a bit, but it is still not good enough. Sync-ing is still a problem, notes still cannot be visualized from a different computer via a browser. All these things have to work for this device to justify its price tag. This is particularly since from a productivity perspective, this device serves a niche role. Android is not Windows/Linux, it is a very limited ecosystem, which imposes severe restrictions on the apps running on it. This means the device will likely not replace your laptop. Instead, it may be your note-taking/presentation device. And if that is the case, it should do a good job at it.
Right now, from a researcher's perspective, the experience is not good enough to justify the price tag. However, it is encouraging that Samsung Notes has been made better.
I end with a note on DeX. While I commend it for doing a good job at emulating a desktop experience, unfortunately, Android is simply a limited ecosystem. Try sharing files between two applications and you will see what I mean. This depends on what you are using your tablet for of course, but as a computer scientist/IT person, anything running Android will never be able to emulate a desktop experience, due to Android's inherent limitations.

Might be slight improvements when upgraded to Android 13 and 14 in the future.
Battery life improved on the S7 plus 5g once I upgraded to Android 12.
