I forgot how cheap(or at least a great discount NOT outrageously cheap) I got it as a combo buy-in when I purchased G.23 ULTRA S phone for dad as Christmas Gift. He didn't want the watch at all so it sat on his bookshelf till this pass Easter and I reclaim it and started using it with my moto G power(2021 edition). Got to say I really luck in as I notice original price should be around 400 yet I pay 185+tax. This truly was just the piece to get. The updated tech/ 44mm size / smooth feature(but not always user Intuit smart) is still really the wow fact.By all accounts, I even started looking at the watch 5 pro thinking it's great too now some site is willing to sell it at 300+. Upon further research it is shown though the tech maybe outdated soon due to the hardware/tech design couldn't be updated (the Infrared feature for health detection)-alas. Looking also at the Ultra Apple 9(with 3 ?!! speaker), I deduce this watch is indeed a great buy. With my Motorola being such an old phone but the(never cease to amaze me continuous update that really makes ALL the difference) ability to pair this watch and it's app on phone, it is worth its weight as I started to use the health feature everyday. Also, Garmin might be more suited to hikers of remote trail and ultra long range battery life needs, watch 6 still has loads of great value for in the middle people who stay active and checks the occasional email on the watch. Recommended. Love to readore about others experience w/watch 6.

Samsung Watch 5 Pro (Watch 6) have: CPU 1.18GHz (1.4GHz), Screen 1.4" (34.6mm) (1.5" (37.3mm)), resolution 450 x 450 (480 x 480), RAM 1.5 (2) GB, Battery 590 (425) mAh (added 45 Pro Watch 5 compare with Watch 6 Classic 44/Sport version 44 mm specifications), Bluetooth v5.2 (v5.3), Samsung Watch 5 Pro do not have Infrared Temperature Sensor, also Watch 6 have bigger screen and etc. As you can see Watch 6 much more changes which is not in latest Watch 5 version included circle/magnetic frame and some others things. Do not look into devices only from some features window. Infrared Temperature Sensor can bring some new stuff in Watch 6 with future models, so look into device what new from technical side was updated with it. So which think that Watch 6 is the same i advice you to check deeper in Watch 6. Bluetooth new version, RAM, new sensors and etc. This is not just new features, this is much more better usage of device. Watch 7 will bring probably new features which i think will not be available in older Watch 4/5 models. That's why to update your Watch 4 or Watch 5 is good idea. I bet some people really will be buy Watch 6 later, because it'll cost cheaper after Watch 7 will released, so do not write that this model have not nothing new :) It's not Apple Watch 9, it's Samsung Watch 6 :)

Listen, mate, just tried it (Samsung letting to try it for two weeks), i believe you will love it too. If you have it and still do not like, probably because your Watch 4/5 is amazing too. I love Samsung watches, they with Wear OS became like small phone on your hand. Awesome devices.

Samsung Watch 6 is the best for Android devices i agree with you, Huawei do not have Android OS, but if working fine very good news. Thanks for yours share. I 100% agree with you, i just using Samsung smartphone because i bought it before i bought watch. Samsung was surprise for me, which became primary manufacturer right now. Before was Sony.

Galaxy watch 6 clearly the best and above any lower outdated and old models like the watch 5 series and below.
1000 nits brighter, clearer than any older version.
W930, a generation above any other.
2gb, 500mb bigger than all any lower generation.
Higher CPU speeds than all previous models.
Will still be receiving WearOS major updates while old models are already abondoned.
The reality is, we will not understand things for you. If you can't feel the power then keep your old and sit in a corner of slow oldies.
And no nonsense of a Samsung phone, I setup mine on a Huawei phone, mobile plans, ECG and BP, I restore from OS to OS and never reset anything, always restoring on different phones,
Like I said WE WILL NOT UNDERSTAND THINGS FOR YOU.

Went from a watch active2 and I don't even have a Samsung phone in use. I've got 2 older Samsung phones both capable of setting up LTE (must have galaxy phone for that) with my network provider, the watch6 works fine with an Oppo Find X5 Pro.
It's a credit to Samsung to offer this support and maybe I will buy another Samsung Phone in the future, not because I feel it's required yet rather optional. Definitely recommend Samsung watches because of the support offered on other brand phones. They have achieved much respect.

Why?
Maybe is it because the Watch4 is still a great watch. All good.

Samsung Active/Active2/Watch 3 and older have Tizen OS, most features is not available included watch faces, apps and etc. I even do not talking about processors, protection and etc. Watch 4 have probably the same some features, Wear OS, but bigger frames, not sapphire protection, not bigger battery and processor, memory and etc. Compare with Watch 5 similar changes was did, about Watch 5 Pro i agree changes is smallest, but there is some it: newer processor, 2GB RAM, smaller frames, longer OS update period (1-2 years), some features is not available (like Apnea in US) and etc. Changes is not big, but they are, rotating bezel too is only now in Watch 6 which was missed in Watch 5 Pro. I agree that people which have Watch 5 Pro maybe have to think it is good idea to buy Watch 6. But all others models do not have some things which have Watch 6. The same o think will be with Watch 7. Will be maybe bigger battery, processor new, maybe battery life better and etc. But all others will be the same. Apple over and over even design do not changing, Samsung some changing doing in that too. But people buying Apple Watch for better processor and etc. Watch 6 i have more as 2 month, battery life a little bit became longer, everything is working fine. Is some strange decisions, but overall is the best watch i think for Android devices. I disagree that result is bad. Yes this is not medical device, but heartrate tracking very well, was compared with medical devices, in hospital and etc. Blood oxygen, body measure, ECG and etc. i do not know it is very good result, but i read that Body measure is 97% by some medical scientist (i read articles in some technologies news portal), oxygen level is the same is appreciable. Sleep is not always correct, but enough good, REM always showing correct as i noticed. So i think the same is with all sleep. I agree that this is not 100% everything is fine, but for daily usage is everything is good. I always trying to see if is possibility with medical tools how is correct in watch everything, most time is really awesome. That's why i have another Samsung watch. Overall if you really want to get medical device 100% or similar to it, buy medical devices. All watches (smart) will not be correct 100% or similar to it.

The design is identical, the optical sensor is the same, results from the sensor are the same and bad.
The operating system is identical.

M1k3, 11 Apr 2024The strap is too narrow ... 20mm only ... All Samsung watches straps is 20 mm. You can use it in any Samsung model from Active 2 (i know 100%, about older i can't say that), you probably Huawei fan or any others Chinese's watches? They using 22 mm straps.

1.Watch6 h... more1.Watch6 has pathetic battery life - it's depend how you use it. I do not using sport modes yet (manual, i have watch just few weeks yet, so did not did a lot of things with it), always on display is disabled too. But i using always heart rate and stress measuring, blood oxygen (when sleeping), snoring and temperature. I trying everyday to do at least once to check: ECG, Blood Oxygen (manual), blood measure and etc. Daily usage is simple: notifications from apps, incoming or outgoing calls, messaging, sometime talking via watch if someone calling or i calling and something like this. Of course sleep and all measuring while sleeping as i mentioned. Battery from 100% (before i go to sleep i charging it everyday) to 50 - 60% draining around 17 - 19 hours. So i guess to 0% will be about about 25 - 27 hours or maybe more. Samsung said that without always on display it can hold about 30 hours, so it's not bad. By the way WiFi is disabled, but GPS is activated for some apps, sport modes and etc. I think it's not very bad result, but compare with my old Active 2 this model battery is worst as Active 2. Of course in Active 2 there is not many features. But overall it normal time i think having in mind all activated features. If you will use all the time, included sport modes of course battery will drain fast, but you have to understand that in watch there are a lot of features which require a lot of battery's energy. Others watch which do not have so many features battery hold energy better, but if you need only watch why to buy smartwatch then? By simple watch. In this watch is one of the best display, so it's normal that draining faster compare with watch which do not have many features and display like Samsung.
2. Not much difference compared to watch4 or watch5 as far as apps and features are concerned.
above two points concludes that waste of extra money to spend on watch6 compared to watch4 or 5. - But watch 6 will have extra years of updates, new processor, RAM and etc. When watch 4 and watch 5 will not get updates, watch 6 will get it and likely will get much more features in future. I disagree that is the same, right now is similar by features, but nobody know what will be in future. So always is better to buy new model.
Plus ECG and BP doesn't work with non Samsung phone. - Because all manufacturer trying to made devices with theirs ECO System so it's normal. Apple watches working with only apple smartphones too. When others will be so popular like is now Apple with Samsung i believe will do devices the same, right now Huawei even nobody adding to top watches ratings, Google with Pixel also working the best with Google devices i think, theirs watches is not so cool as is Apple and Samsung ii think.
So overall Samsung watch6 is poor buy. - I recommend to buy it, because these days i think is the best for android, especially Samsung users watch. Of course this is not just mine opinion, some expert saying the same, and of course Android users have alternative: Pixel, OnePlus watches and etc. but Samsung i think is the best choice overall.

Plus ECG and BP doesn't work with non Samsung phone.
I bought watch6 from Samsung experience(exclusive) store and I specifically asked them does all features specially BP and ECG works well with non Samsung phone? But as usual sales and support staff lied(which is common in Samsung exclusive stores) and blindly nodded in positive.
So overall Samsung watch6 is poor buy.
