Samsung makes the Galaxy Watch FE official with $199 price and June 24 release date
Following a myriad of recent leaks, today Samsung has finally decided to make the Galaxy Watch FE official. This is the first FE product in the Galaxy Watch line and, as expected, it's a rebranded and re-launched Galaxy Watch4.
There is, however, one twist. The Watch FE has sapphire glass on top of its screen, which is an upgrade from the Gorilla Glass DX+ used in the Watch4. The Watch FE is also only available in one size - 40mm. There's no 44mm model, despite the fact that the Watch4 was offered in that size too.
So, the Galaxy Watch FE comes with an aluminum case, a 1.2-inch 396x396 Super AMOLED touchscreen, the Exynos W920 SoC at the helm, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 247 mAh battery. It runs Wear OS with Samsung's own One UI 5 Watch on top.
It's got an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, 5ATM rating for diving, MIL-STD-810H rating for durability, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS/Glonass/Beidou/Galileo, the Samsung BioActive Sensor (optical heart rate, electrical heart + bioimpedance analysis), an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyro sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, and a light sensor.
You can track more than 100 different workouts with it, it has advanced running analysis, personalized heart rate zones, body composition analysis, as well as advanced sleep tracking with sleep pattern monitoring and sleep coaching. The Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification monitors heart rhythms that are suggestive of atrial fibrillation, and you can also measure your blood pressure and ECG.
The Galaxy Watch FE will become available on June 24, just as previously leaked. It will be yours for $199 in black, pink gold, and silver. The LTE model will be priced at $249.99 when it arrives in October.

They'll disable it in a few years like Tizen watches no thanks.

I did. battery life is as worse as it was before. Also takes a lot of time to get loaded up after powering on, and lag when I select an activity mode. The update basically ruined the watch experience for me. High hopes on One Ui 6 update.
