Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 gets Android 8.1 Oreo

Ivan, 11 September 2018

Samsung is currently updating Galaxy Xcover 4 units in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia (and possibly in other Asian countries) to Android 8.1 Oreo.

The update was expected but it's still nice to see that Samsung is bringing the tough midranger to 8.1 directly, instead of just 8.0.

The update brings the August 2018 security patch as well as Samsung Experience UX 9.5 (the same version as the Galaxy Note9).

If you own a Galaxy Xcover 4 you can go Settings - Software update to see if you have an update pending.
