These are still too thick, should be at least 20% slimmer at max 12 mm. Thickness is also of great importance in pockets, not just size.
What we have available now, best phones to fit a pocket are 6.1"-6.36" bar phones. They are the perfect ratio between pocketability and useful screen estate (preferably at least 1200p).
Also the crease should be at least half as deep. Maybe Flip20 will have what it takes.
I also don't know what's the point of newly announced slim phones. What good is 6,9 mm instead of 8 mm thickness if phone is 6.6-6.7" in size?

Daniel, 14 Nov 2024I just want to record for the Internet archives that I had ... moreIt could be better if they made like E90 or Surface Duo concept, altough not really borderless but at least more reliable, actually the folded amoled concept was a failure, their concept with flexible oled first was more like Samsung Edge series which meant fixed and not bended for long time, but nowadays concept brainstorm is failure because they forgot that when you fold for example a transparent plastic sheet, there will be a crack mark at the folded point and remember the phone body weight self is heavy and may not hold the thin plastic oled for long time

I just want to record for the Internet archives that I had nothing but problems with Samsung flip phones. Starting with the 4 all the way to the 6, I wish I could keep them but after the 5th failed phone I gave up. They always had the same problem: the screen fails at the hinge (bright line appears) and the screen keeps flickering. Leaving the phone always open reduces the flickering but neither it solves the problem nor I bought a flip phone to keep it open. So yeah, back to traditional slab phones, and I wish I could say it has been a good ride, but it was not.

rAIZO, 24 Oct 2024For people owing this phone: Why do you have this phone? Wh... moreFlip phone is the only good phone on the market. You make it small so you don't look like fool with a brick in your pocket. It's lighter. Yeah a flagship below 200 grams, that's cool. It's super rigid - all of my Flip phones were pristine when sold, with zero scratches. Despite no case!! While all other phones i've had in decades went bad.
Also Flip features magnets so I can slap it on the car charger without effort. You can call while it's closed (loudspeaker) or open it to call normally (Nokia "V" style). Oh and a visibility of the screen when folder helps in so many situations. I can't count how many times i let the phone half folded to read information while doing something. A regular phone sits on the desks and is unreadable in a wokring angle.
Why people still buy heavy bricks is puzzling...

Got a flip 6 from company with MDM installed. Google zero touch policy and knox is not allowing me to install dual apps nor secure folder. Any help is appreciated!
Error on selecting secure folder is "security policy restrict from using secure folder".

It's crazy that I can get this fella for less than $1000 in Singapore right now (down from $1600+ RRP), straight from the official Samsung store with education discounts
It's pretty tempting and I might get this instead of S24 FE, the only thing is I'm not the most careful at handling foldables

I really like the form factor. What is missing for a consumer like me is the camera setup found on the s24 ultra.
How cool would be this form factor with a great camera setup?
Is there room for a Flip 6 Ultra?
