Is switching to this phone a good idea? I currently use base s24 and specs say this should have the same chip, battery and cam (excluding telephoto which is unusable even on s24). I just want a something that makes it harder for me to use my phone as often lol

This phone was great for about 8 months, then I started having connectivity issues. I live in a rural area, and I started having trouble connecting to the local network. Through months of trouble shooting with my carrier, we figured the issues relate to this phone. But we figured it out just a FEW DAYS after my warranty expired. I was out of luck. No connection in rural areas, and the connection in a major city is just "fine". I can be sitting beside someone with a different phone, and they have no issue, which my phone is struggling to keep alive. lol

If the price drops to 70K, is it finally the right time or just the universe testing your impulse control? It looks stunning, no doubt but can it handle real life outside a product shoot? Or are you buying a beauty queen with a glass jaw?

I got this phone in August 2024, and I still love it. I was worried it would be too thick when folded, but honestly, I haven't been bothered by it. I prefer how nice it fits into my pockets and such unlike my previous phones. I was also worried about the crease and if it would annoy be, but it hasn't impacted my use, and I play games on my phone a lot. I actually like how it folds, and I often find myself using it folded like 90 degrees or a little more. I really enjoy the small screen when it is folded. It is great for selfies using the good camera. I also watched YouTube videos on how to maximize use of it, and so I have an app that allows me to use more apps on it. I really enjoy using google keep for groceries as I dont need to open the phone and it keeps it small and easy to hold, I also as a person who doesn't have YT premium, I enjoy being able to play YT videos on it with my main screen closed. MSG apps, one time pw app, maps, chrome I use often. I also like being able to use spotify wihtout opening the phone, able to set timer, check weather quickly, also been able to add a quick call back with being able access the number pad if I need to. I am surprised actually how much I use the smaller screen, and how often I use the phone partially folded. I am at the point now, where I don't think I can go back to a non flip phone.

If the problems you mentioned are the result of your daily use, it means you have not taken care of your device.

Please dont buy this product. I had it purchased for Rs 11000. Within a month the display became non functional which was replaced. After 2 months again the screen becomes non responsive. There was no physical damage. Samsungs authorized service center is the worst and they have found an imaginary scratch and says the damage might be due to this and are not honoring the warranty.
It is a horrible experience. The phone is nothing special and is nowhere near the iphones of past 4 years. Please donot buy this product, It is just a fancy item.

I called Samsung repair and reported the issue to them, Dpd came to collect it the following day and it was repaired Within 2days of collection. The screen was replaced cos it was under 2 years warranty. They run all necessary tests on it before it was sent back to me through Dpd. I got it back after 3days. Now I'm enjoying the phone.

Had the phone for max 5 months now. cracking sound when you open the phone. Started overheating after about 2 months. Had to drop it off at vodacom repairs yesterday after the screen started freezing, grey snowy screen and the completely black. Front small screen still worked, but big screen completely black. Not happy at all

Did the folding of the phone got the protective foil off the screen yet, or it's still going well?
Maybe got uglyer, or sits worse on the screen?
It would surprise me if the foil would last more than a years or so

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2024I wonder who buys these nonsense. I love my flip I've had it for 5 months and the novelty still hasn't worn off. Being able to flip it to use as a little tripod is so nice :D

These are still too thick, should be at least 20% slimmer at max 12 mm. Thickness is also of great importance in pockets, not just size.
What we have available now, best phones to fit a pocket are 6.1"-6.36" bar phones. They are the perfect ratio between pocketability and useful screen estate (preferably at least 1200p).
Also the crease should be at least half as deep. Maybe Flip20 will have what it takes.
I also don't know what's the point of newly announced slim phones. What good is 6,9 mm instead of 8 mm thickness if phone is 6.6-6.7" in size?
