Samsung Gear 360 pre-orders start in the UK

Samsung's Gear 360 was unveiled in February and just like its name implies it's a digital camera that can record 360-degree videos for that VR look that's so trendy these days. The device has subsequently become available in the company's home country of South Korea, and we've also seen it priced in the US and on pre-order in continental Europe.

Now the Gear 360 is up for pre-order in the UK, from just one retailer at the moment. MobileFun is offering up the camera in exchange for £299.99 of your hard earned cash. Shipping is reportedly going to happen around mid-June, but a less vague release time frame unfortunately isn't available yet.

The Gear 360 has two 15 MP cameras with fisheye lenses, which can record 3,840x1,920 videos and 30 MP stills. It has 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, and a 1,350 mAh removable battery. In terms of connectivity you'll find Wi-Fi ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and USB 2.0. The 360-degree videos you record with it are obviously viewable in the Gear VR headset.

I wonder which one would sell better, Gear 360 or LGs 360 cam? Samsung's option is £100 more, though it offers 4K resolution and removable battery. On the other hand, LGs cam is cheaper, with 2K video (it can be enough for some), compact design...
