Samsung Gear app updated with battery indicator
Samsung launched the new edition of the Gear S2 Classic smartwatch and it also updated the app used to manage all of its smart wearables. The Samsung Gear app is now at version 2.2.16011842.
The big addition is that the app now displays the battery charge of the smartwatch. Next to the indicator are three simple tips on how to improve battery life, including using a black watch face (so that the OLED display uses less energy).
The update weighs in at about 32MB and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Galaxy Apps. Note that the update is still rolling out across app store regions.

The Gear S2 is the best device I have ever had. Great stylish watch faces. When I see Apple Watch, Pebble and other attempts at Smart Watches - they all look geeky! My only wish is that Samsung could create a Sleep Manager app like Fitbit Charg...
