reduce the resolution in ur camera options then check ur zoom will work..

paresh, 14 Dec 2012I got jelly bean on my nexus s today......hey paresh. plz tell did you face any prolem after updating to 4.1.1 jb. i am receiving ota for jb since 1 dec , the day i bought it.
in pakistan it is refurbished as new ones are not coming any more, so plz tell after updating will it produce more consequences or new ones like famous power button one or more???
did u face any. battery draining?
currently, ICS 4.0.4. i9020. thanks in advance.

I have an unlocked Nexus-S currently working on Rogers Network in Canadas (850/1900 MHz).
I want to move to an alternate carrier in Canada which is on the AWS 1700/2100 frequencies.
As per the specifications for the Nexus-S (i9020A) the phone will work on AWS1700/2100. However installing a test SIM from the other network does not work. Is there any way to rectify this situation i.e. able to use my phone on the other carrier?

Battery is not so good , in ics 4.0.4 it gives max 2 hours full load use at 30% remaining while normal use gives descent 3.5+ hours on screen time. While stand by is atleast 12 hours + under both cases. Try HTC Rhyme.
And to u Prey ; all is good I recommend this phone. But also see HTC Rhyme if u r seeing both at same price then go for Rhyme. Better camera and less bugs. Still I love my "Google Nexus S"

From the beginning, battery life was terrible. Lucky to get 4 hours out of it. It needed near constant charging. Tried turning everything off, but did little to improve life. Like others, I found that "turning off" the phone did not turn it off-it continued to burn battery at similar rates. Resorted to taping the battery terminals for flights. Finally, the USB charging connector inside the phone became so loose that I could no longer charge it at all. I would never buy another.
