Well the Nexus S has been found to have a bug. In January 2011 it was widely reported that the phone has a critical bug that reboots the phone during calls. Wierd really as I love this phone and already bug issues

They are inter... moreEven I had problems with my Samsung Star's motherboard, but I went to my retailer, very dedicated workers, they ordered the part and replaced it within 15 days, while the other service center wasted 2 months, you just have to know the right people, other than that Samsung's products are very good.

Please don’t buy any costly Samsung mobiles. They are interested only in introducing new (useless) mobiles every day. Their after-sale service is very poor. I met a minor (?) problem with my Omnia II (GT-I8000) in India. Its audio jack failed to function properly. Many times it routed the audio to headset on its own. I gave it to the service centre and waiting for the phone for more than three months. Service centre people have so many useless answers but have not given my phone back. I have contacted samsung officials from Delhi to Chennai to Puducherry to......service manager... technicians... but in vain. I am ashamed of Samsung, its after-sale service, customer care....Irresponsible Cheaters.... I may have bought a new mobile for the expenditures I met for making calls and visiting service centre.
I have ever seen so many unsatisfied customers in queues in their customer service stations.
Please don't buy Samsung mobiles

Buying a phone on contract doesnt give you cheap packages, it'll give you packages that will cost you Rs.600-Rs.1000 per month for atleast two years, 600 bucks per month for two years you'll end up paying 14000 bucks at the end of the year, so in total you'll be paying about Rs.22000 which is almost as same as buying without contract.

Why are mobile phones are not sold on contract in India. approx price on contract is $199 as per google website. Which is approx Rs 9000.

And yes, guys most of the results that you get on searching 'Nexus S defect' on google are about the sms problem, I just now read the news on the home page of gsmarena that google has launched v.2.3.2 which fixes this problem, so no worries :)

Its a piece of scrap. ... moreI dont think it's true for all phones, and no complany is stupid enough to ship out thousands and thousands of defected peices, if there is a problem it has to be with only a few peices, and no company will refuse to repair a phone, as what you say seems like a software problem, because re-installing a fw takes barely 2 minutes
