this doesnt happen with dark colours, but with extensive use of bright colours (blue especially), the screen can burn in. I think that's why theyve changed the top status bar to black

samsung update sucks...only super amoled is the upgrade side...very disappoint after purchase..

Dude it's not been one year since the phone was announced leave out it's release, so there is no one in this world who has tested this, unless he is a developer at samsung which I'm sure your "tech savvy" is not. Dude there's a lot of dirty bussiness out there, it's another way of selling more inferior models like those of Motorola. Even Apple is going to use Super Amoled Technology, and we all know Apple's no stupid company.

an an usual use of 10h per day the result is over 2 years, but I think an usual use will be 2-3h per day so ...
from here I see a lot of device use this and no complain from the Nokia users for examples,

I was saving money to buy this set but recently I heard that the super amoled technology of samsung is not long-lasting because of some organic chemical used inside the LCD screen. I really got upset hearing this. The person who informed me is the tech savvy and dealer of many mobile brands. I have also searched many website to tally dis info if it is correct or not. Yaa it’s correct… it can last only for 1 year or bit moiré than this and after that the screen turns completely black. This is what happened with few of the galaxy s i9000 set and therefore the production of galaxy has been terminated. Please someone comment on this…waiting??????

This is one hell of a device. Gingerbread is arguably the best software available. Beats Iphone hands down. The UI is excellent, touch sensitivity and keyboard very improved. Speed is exceptional.
Build quality is a little off the class but its lighter than phones of smaller sizes. Camera is decent if not great.
Facebook, google and phone integration is out of the box.
A must buy if looking at this range

Is ... moreThe Nexus S (and Nexus One) are HD capable (hell even FM radio capable) but Stock Android doesnt support HD recording (yet) unless you flash a custom rom like Cyanogenmod or custom skin like HTC Sence, MotoBLUR, and Samsung TouchWiz.

Tell me why? Is there any reason not to support it?
The software is capable, and the damn hardware is also capable.
Or is it just stupidity? Answer me Samsung, come on!!!

The Phone is great, although it has a few issues:
1) You need to make sure your network operator works on HSDPA 900/1700/2100 (Europe/Asia + T-Mobile) NO AT&T
2)After a single day of careful use... the back of the mobile scratched -it´s extremely sensitive and will deteriorate without a cover. (It´s a must have)
The UI is fantastic -gingerbread is really nice.

I have this phone for few days but having one problem. The phone is unlock but Edge is not set up Automaticly. I have to input the values my self. Which is not easy.
If I change the SIM card or put another carrier it has to be set up again. Why is not Auto? Or what am I doing wrong?

My SE K800i 3.2 MP took better pictur... moreYou are so right man, my K800i for a 3.2 mega pixel camera the photo quality details and colours are downright excellent,you just have to see them to believe how good this camera actually is, i wish my Motorola Defy 5 mega pix was as good as this K800i, my usual camera is a Lumix DMC-TZ10 and the quality of its zoom and video cam are damm excellent also.
