Samsung has added his own touchwiz UI, that's why it's different from HTC phones :)
if you want to get the main desktop in the middle, just add launcherpro(similar to HTC sense as you're sense fan ) or ADW launcher (you can get them from the market).
You have a galaxy S but don't know how to use it, that's the problem with you.

What a waste, dere is no diffrence between galaxys n google nexus,expect frm os 2.3 ,infact dere is no card slot for google nexus, dell streak specifcation is better dan google nexus,i used to own samsun galaxy s which was one of the best ,but it is outdated nw,currenty using dell streak just loving it .

it is not good at all samsung should uses lastest technology to beat other company .dual core proccesor.12 mp camera ....and 4G.if samsung continue with this pattern LG can beat it .LG with new optimus is better than this (exept SUPER AMOLED).

I expected 4G compatibility, Dual core processor and a Better camera.
Other features that Iwould have liked would be:
Kick stand
Track ball/5 way button
Notification led
Dual flash
1080p video recording
With these it could have become more successful.
What do you say guys? Were these over expectations?

I haven't tried this phone, although I've tried both the galaxy s and nexus one. But from what people are saying about how they would rather use galaxy s over nexus s really says something about this phone... I hate the galaxy s and love HTC's nexus one. And I think it's a HUGE shame that a second nexus phone was left up to samsung to build, rather than HTC. I remember I told myself before samsung started using android os to never buy another samsung phone again (same with LG), but of course I didn't listen to myself and bought the galaxy s (HUGE REGRET). I will definitely not go down that path again.
Before anyone buys a samsung phone, I think they ought to give HTC-made phones a try (or hell, just buy an iphone). Same OS but different manufacturer makes all the difference!!! Samsung does a lot of things are just generally stupid, take for example the galaxy s has 7 desktops, but home desktop is desktop 1, which is NOT in the middle, where it SHOULD be. As opposed to desire z and desire hd, the home desktop is desktop 4, and it's in the middle of the desktops, where it should be. It's small things like this (which are many) that really show how amateur samsung is when making phones, something that hasn't changed in all these years. Now a shit manufacturer has adopted an awesome os, in the hopes of making up for their own shortcomings.

Is it just me or Galaxy S I9000 does have a better hardware? Like radio and better bluetooth..
