I had the i500. One day, when trying to enter a court building, I had to hide the phone in the bushes because my car was far away, I had already waited in a long line, but a security guard (who knew his phones very well) told me I could not bring it into the building because it had a camera!

      want skins? i500 Skin Selector is a small app that lets you change the main phone screen image. The tricky part is you have to select the "tree" image from the phone prefs, and your own image in the app. You can upload your own images and convert them to the right format online, too. also, TWO-WAY TEXT MESSAGING requires i500SMS, avialable for one-time fee of $25

        If you are into flashy ringtones and picture caller ID....this is not the phone for you. You can get a program that allows you to send SMS Text messages. There are cool programs out there that let you use your IR port to be a universal remote and turn TV channels. Really handy if you need to always be organized and have a tight schedule and don't feel like lugging around a day planner.

            I agree, text messaging is a must. Samsung had a chance to make a perfect phone and they failed!!

              Love the phone but am very disappointed that I cannot reply to test messages. Because of this I would choose another. Everybody is text messaging now!

                The phone in the picture is not Samsung i500, it is I think Samsung i600. I like the phone yeah it does not support some things but all in all it is a good phone sleek and useful.

                  The i500 is definitely a beautiful phone. While the physical and color is made to profection. Well that's it. I own the i500 but it does not have text message, ringtone or wallpaper download capabilities. You can view text messages but you cannot reply,send or know the number it is coming from. I have had this phone just under two months and I am ready to break my contract with Sprint. I specifically requested these capabilities at the time of purchase and now that there advertisement is garbage they won't give me another phone. My 14day period has passed. That raw deal is crap and now so is the phone.

                      All samsung mobiles models doesnt work infrared port, its connect but didnt work why i dont know if its work tell me how its work

                        I use Samsung Mobile Phone but how its infrared works to another mobiles or infrared device. My model is V200 its super hit but it not work in computers infrared or any other mobiles if anybody knows let me :) thank u Samsung
