I bought it couple of days back and the experience is great. Excellent UI and loads of applications available. I didn't had to do anything for gprs, it was automatically set while connected to service prover (Idea). My 5 star for this.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970- agreed with bisman! gprs configuration for 2G not that easy. My "WAP on Mobile" activation doesn't work on i5700. As android yet not that common in India, may be the operators still don't know the proper settings for android. "GPRS on mobile" works fine, though.

All in all its a good phone, you won't regret if u make a decision... go for it!

never_say_never, 09 Feb 2010I am looking to buy the Galaxy Spica this week.. I hear Spi... morei5700 is available at such affordable price tag, so 128mb of ram is never a deal breaker. 128 will not affect your common activities unless you open multiple apps (heavy apps) at the same time. The average package size of an android app is 2MB (including resource expansion), but the thing is you won't use each n every app at the same time. You might like to remove the ones you don't use often. Task killing may come helpful in such a case.

About battery : battery backup is so n so. In my case the battery lasts max. 1 to 2 days at moderate-to-heavy use.

-- major issues those i've found:

          - virtual keyboard in landscape mode too slow to use. so if u r a heavy texter, keep this thing in mind before buying. (rumored update to 2.0 might solve the issue, hopefully!)

          - @bisman

Battery lasts about 2 to 3 days with the last few days wi-fi and games. With the phone I am very satisfied.

I am looking to buy the Galaxy Spica this week.. I hear Spica will be getting a 2.1 Android upgrade soon.. is a 128 MB RAM a deal breaker?.. I dont understand the impact, does it leave too little memory for installing apps or does it just slow the phone down?.. also I hear as of now Android apps can only be installed on internal memory and Spica has only 200 MB internal memory.. is this a problem?.. roughly how many apps can be installed within this memory? the battery quoted is an impressive 1500 mAH.. but I hear from its predecessor 7500 reviews that it was pretty bad.. is the battery problem resolved in Spica?

overall given its attractive pricing, is it still worth the deal? plzzz answer these queries as I need to decide soon.. first hand users plzzz throw some light!
