daredevil, 06 Jun 2011I have been using Android version 2.1 but I cant connect it... moreTo make Samsung PC Studio to be able to synchronize with the I5700 Galaxy Spec... First download the newest version of this software. Second go to settings then Applications then Development and choose USB debugging. Your set.
for USB synchronize, this is another answer for connecting your usb to your PC, go to settings then applications then choose... Unknown sources. This will make usb transfer possible. Don't forget to go back and turn this off when finished. Happy hunting. ;-)

It continuously lags and force close anything i try to open, the camera is painfully slow and the lock button does not do it's function. It drops my calls and doesn't receive/send my texts. I have updated it but even then, it fails me. It's not that bad of a phone, if it were up to par it would be a more desirable phone.

I have this phone for a month and happy with it. It can be fast if you configure properly.
it is pretty comparable to LG Optimus One.
the main spica weakness is ram available for user app's. that causes lag if you run many app's on the background.if you can handle keeping free ram ~35mb and above, performance will do just fine:)
i use latest Android 2.2 Froyo (CyanogenMod / SpicagenMod)" and spica is pretty fast and stable for me, get about 50-70 ram free available without using task killer or any autokiller.
basic programs installed such as poweramp, video players, skype, opera, adobe etc.

phone is fast for me, i always get 55-70 of free ram available (while no big apps running), even after day of use. no task killer, or autokiller.
basic programs installed such as opera, skype, poweramp, adobe,angrybirds,movie players, betterkeybord etc.
no lag, or other major problems :)

I mean my current phone is slow... moreiv had this fone for about ,well nearly a year, if your looking for something fast, this is definately not it, even tho iv upgraded to v2.2 using cyanogen, its fast for awhile , but if you havent rebooted in about a day it gets very very slow, with lots of freezing and crshing of apps9 this may just be due to the cyanogen mod i used) but even on stock 1.5 it was insanely slow, and this fone has next to no ram, next im going to get the xperia pro mini, with the 1ghz processor, im sick of lag , hope this helps , just saying-this is an ancient android, think of it as the dinosaur beta testing fone for android

GOOD- d pad and call buttons. Camera. Build quality
BAD - slow and laggy, touchscreen not responsive. internal memory much too small, no fm radio.

I've had had this phone now since November and I quickly found out it is garbage. My phone shuts off when you try to talk on it, I cant even call it a phone because I cant talk on it. The lock button stops working, so when your phone is in your pocket it takes pictures and calls people. I have to factory reset the phone at least once a month. I've had 2 replacements sent to me and all 3 phones have come with theses issues, which leads me to believe that its a problem with the make of the phone and not the individual phones. This phone has a lot of issues. But it is fast when you connect threw wi fi, and the messaging feature is good. I would love this phone if it worked the way it was suppose to. I was so disappointed when I realized that its not up to par at all
