Ramu Nair, 22 Jul 2010Samsung has pulled this model out of Indian market. and the... moreYes Spica is the most aggressively priced Android Phone in the indian market, @ 12.5k its a steal :)
Samsung has NOT pulled spica out of the market, i have confirmed this from SAMSUNG's Service centers and Helpline numbers.
Its availabilty is an issue, and its understandable, Samsung as a company has devoted almost all its resources for Wave, Galaxy S and others.. hence the shortage,I heard that many of the Spica's were being shipped off to Euro markets, since they fetch a higher price there than in India/Asia.
You could wait for a while to get ur hands on fresh stock, be in touch with Samsung Privilege Partner, if anyone can get the stocks, its them!
Best of luck

Samsung has pulled this model out of Indian market. and then introduced Wave and Galaxy S for much higher price . Spica was the cheapest Android phone available in india (Rs.12500). Why ? strange logic from Samsung??

Battery is 1500mAh = good battery, but with normal usage of phone your it will only last about 2 days. If you use it VERY conservatively, it might reach 3 days.
Bluetooth is not fully operational in Spica, it's known issue. (like 800MHz cam bug) There is no official fix. Maybe possible solution would be that one hacker would port drivers from similar phone with same BT hardware as in Spica. But i hear that is almost impossible since Samsung doesn't release drivers.

remolon, 21 Jul 2010I am assuming that you are having factory installed Android... moreAs I wrote before it doesn't work with Astro File Manager or Bluetooth File Transfer apps. But your way works fine! I did tap Send instead of Share, that was the problem. Anyway, I'm still confused why those apps I've listed above, fail.
Anyway, thanks A LOT ! :-) cheers

mack, 20 Jul 2010Guyz, help me please... I can't send a file via Bluetooth..... moreI am assuming that you are having factory installed Android V2.1.
1)First Enable your bluetooth.
Go to MyFiles and browse to the file that you want to send. Open the file.
2)Select options button on top of your browse/call button.
3)Select Share and then select bluetooth.
4)Now you may scan for the devices and then select the device to send.
You may also download the Bluetooth File transfer application from the market for customising your bluetooth options.

Guyz, help me please... I can't send a file via Bluetooth...neither using standard browser, nor Astro file managen, nor Bluetooth File Transfer... I've bought my Spica with Android 2.1 installed, and I haven't rooted it yet.
Is there any option? Without rooting..?
Thx in advance
