So got to waitdude i enquired the dealer itself who ships the phone from samsung he said that the existing stocks were not taken back they were sold out, he added that there is no response from the part of samsung when they enquire about the new stock,,,, also the same story about the samsung omnia 2 as well

How do I close the applications that are running? I press the back button, it closes, but as I press(and hold) the home button, they are still open...
..im using 1.5 right now
-How do I upgrade it to 2.1 ??

well, in visakhapatnam, i found two pieces of galaxy spica which are manufactured in dec/jan and loaded with 1.5 android os..

I am from hyderabad,India. I have been searching for spica from past several weeks but couldnt find in a single shop. Anyway from hyderabad knows where i can buy this. No univercell,bigc,mobilestore,adarshmobiles keep this stock

I'm not able to download mp3 and video files. It says "waiting for data connection..." and after 4-5 mins it gives "Download unsuccessful" message.
I'm using I5700 with 2.1 and having Airtel GPRS.
Any pointer?

gunde, 14 Jun 2010still cannot find this mobile anywhere almost all the shops... morei searched in mumbai at a lot of places hwvr, they say since its android phone its not gonna work in our part of the world. Croma and Alfa people in mumbai they say they had to send the stocks back as nobody was interested in buying this phone. i searched from shop to shop hwvr, this piece was nowhere availalbe. so atlast i had to buy nokia 5230 whic is doing good.this phone according to lot of shops is not officialy launched in india. it will be availble after 6-7 months. so need to wait till then....you might find in a grey market with no warrnty/bills whatsoever. even samsung service centre people are also refusing to service it as its w/o warranty. m wondering why are we so slow in india in launching popular phones whereas its easily available in the rest of the world???
