Hi everybody... Finally good news from samsung for indian customers. Android 2.1 (Eclairs)is available for spica. Got my spica upgraded to 2.1 in new delhi at samsung service centre, nehru place. The new firmware is 1570EDDJC5. So guys hurryup & get your spica upgraded and share the new experience. Will share my experience on 2.1 lateron.

@Vignesh: Thats an excellent news. Thanks for sharing it. Cant wait to see your opinion on how the 2.1 update is. If possible do write a brief opinion about the ur experience between using 1.5 & 2.1....

Does the head set of spica support answering/ending the call directly from it. I am not able to find any button on the headset came in the box. Also I am having a weird problem, some times the volume down key and menu button does not work properly and after some some time they come back to normal. Do any one facing the same problem. Is this a software of hardware problem. another thing i always keeps the phone in the leather pouch that came in the box and its pretty tight.

Hi guys, i called samsung service center today, they said we could get the firmware update in 15 min. It was announced them only yesterday. Today, they were being given instructions on how to do it. So, they told me to come tomorrow and get the update. They do it for free of charge. They just asked me to bring the xerox copy of the bill. Will definitely share the experience after updating it tomorrow. The updated version is android 2.1(ECLAIR). If u r staying in chennai, the service center is opposite anna nagar k-4 police station. They work from 9.30am to 9.00 pm.

flv, 26 Apr 2010went to nearest service center the told me they got the upd... moreI am from chennai. Got this phone last week from spencer plaza. It came with 1.5. Its absolutely amazing. Very badly waned to go for 2.1. But was afraid that i cud brick my cell. Was waiting. And now comes the official upgrade from samsung. If u stay in chennai, go to anna nagar samsung service center. They do it fort free. YAAAYYY!!!!!!

Samsung is going to sell i5700 with preloaded android 2.1 in India from next week.This news comes from samsung premier dealer in Delhi.

ganesh , 27 Apr 2010phones bluetooth not working prpperli?like that file sharing.Currently you can opnly send contact and notes through bluetooth. ask for upgrade to 2.1
