Bought this phone 10 days ago, and the mouse frequently hangs. Stop functioning or crazy jumping around the screen :(
Is there anything I can do to fix this? I've already done the hard reset but the problem still occurs.

HMHKH, 13 Nov 2008I heard that Samsung Phones in general have heat problemsit's true, my i780 heats when i use it.. im only 17 and not expert in this class of phones so i send it to samsung for assurance that my i780 is not a faulty unit.. and my i780 hangs somtimes .. i hope they'll fix this .. can anybody tell me what application/games you've installed in your i780 that is working and has no problems or compatible with this unit .. i've heard that some applications are not compatible due to its square screen .. mine i have only sudoku, hiCalc and lcg jukebox...

Hi All! I have been using the i780 for about 2 months now. The "Lost Satelite Connection" whilst navigating tends to come up when I really need to be directed, and I noticed it happens too often.
I don't know if this is a problem with my locality in South Africa or is it general? Otherwise the phone is quite superb and is very versatile.

Keypad works fine. It's really an all-round advanced business device like some user stated. I have no problems with it and i tried Omnia but wouldn't swap i780 for it. One thing though - windows mobile is really user-non-friendly (touch non friendly too) so the device needs a bot of tweaking with 3rd party applications. Otherwise i would say go for it if you're a heavy business user....

For me it's just a perfect device. Very stable, very powerful, very functional. Really a mobile office for advanced users.

Hello All,
I'm planning to buy this phone.
I did check with couple of dealers in Bangalore and it will be available in the next couple of days.
I had a look at one of the piece and found that the QWERTY keypad is little bit crumbled.
Any uer who has a hands on experience related to this...is it easy to use the key pad....pl. suggest.

Yes, you can use it as a voice recorder.
Hint: start-->programs-->help-->type text: voce (choose create a voice note)

yes,u can change the sms tones mp3 files. just save in "my document". note that the phones can't read mp3 files that u saved in folders at my document, so u have to put the files in "my document" but not in folders.

I found the online manual and found out that u can record voice in Notes. Open Notes, click on menu and the first option is View Recording Toolbar. It works. I was also struggling to find it.

This mobile is heaven-sent.. Everything about this phone is great. Trackpad works awesome, Keypad is quite convenient to use, Camera is quite good for a two megapixel resolution, Windows mobile OS is a lot better than symbian or apple's.. I've never been more satisfied with a phone purchase.. It's a businessman's dream phone!

the camera sucks... it says that it is 2 megapixels but when you compare it to other 2 megapixel camera phones the resolution is far better than samsung i780... the images produced are a little bit blured,, it's not sharp.. but over all functionality.. maybe im going to vote as 80% satisfied

Is there any way that i can customize the SMS tone? Because the pre-installed ones are a bit dull..
